A good day. Diet 'bob on' to elfintan-phrase. Half hearted back n bis this morning, was lifting decent enough weight & did all my sets n that, but just wasn't flying like new legs n chest & tri WO's. Can't wait to get new B&B next Fri.
Cardio tomorrow. Off to bed with 1/2 a CNP protein bar & a cuppa to watch a couple episodes of lost.......no plot spoilers please we're only on the 2nd series rmbr, lol!

Hi fifi - looks like things are going really well ;o))

Just curious - what are your timings for your preWO, postWO and breakfast meals? and how much whey do you use in your PWO shake?, and i assume your rice is weighed after cooking?

Re:Figure Contestant Wanabe - 30 January 2009 08:03
Tan how could you think such a thing!??! It was a cnp protein bar which is a lot lower in carbs than a flapjack, I would only have a flapjack as an am snack if I was caught short out shopping on a sat am or something. I need something solid in the pm tho as I like the cuppa, so egg whites would work also, only got 1 bar left anyhoo & not that fond of them, so won't be getting any more! I shud try the egg whites with lemon & sweetener eh? that'd go with T & I did say I've got a box of ProPudding sat there!
Hi Annie, thanx for checking in on me
preWO - 5.45am (cnp whey)
postWO - 7am (cnp propeptide)
Breakii - 8.45am (cnp whey)
20g whey each (well, 1 scoop of the scoops that come with them, approx 20g I think)
Yes rice weight is after cooking, just easier for me to work out.

xx

Re:Figure Contestant Wanabe - 01 February 2009 20:10
01/02

Friday night was my company’s new year ball at the chancery hotel in London. S’a gorgeous place & the food was fantastic. How the chef managed to cater for 150 & all of us had a really nicely pink medium rare piece of beef, when proceedings ran ocer by half an hour??!?? Very impressive, we struggle to produce it for 2 in our own kitchen!
Didn’t have any nibbles, had 1 glass of champagne & 1 large glass of red. Meal was avocado & tomato salad to start, the beef with a jus (gravy to you & me, lol!) & mash, but only about 2 tblsp which was a relief, I find mash hard to resist & I did have the pudding of chocolate mouse. This is good progress for me as I would normally have had A LOT more to drink & a lot more pre-dinner nibbles.
Sat:
Oat (46g)+egg white omelette (2+1) with spring onions, toms & 30g low fat cheese
Cottage cheese on toast
6 oysters & soup with 70g cooked chicken
Fish n chips - homemade: I had poached haddock Mark had breaded, I had 125g oven chips mark had ?a lot!? With mushy peas.
Cottage cheese on toast

Sun: Did Legs + 30 min cardio
PreWO: 20g whey in water with espresso + 23g oats made with water+dash skim milk&honey
Breakii: 46g oats made with water+dash skim milk&honey+2tblsp seeds + 20g whey in water with espresso
Snack: 100g CC on toast
Dinner: Roast chicken dinner
Snack: 100g CC on toast

So feel quite good about progress in exerting my will power, both on Fri night & also Sat with the fish n chips.
Chest n Tris in the morning & spin pm.
xx

Thinking about popping along to Monster Gym next Sat for BNBF meet as is only an hour down road.
Be good to meet Annie & some other more like minded folks, don’t want to be only girl tho, have emailed Annie at gym to sus out.

Had phenomenal WO this morning upped leg press from 3x50kg (7 reps) to 1x50, 1x70, 1x90!! (& then 1x50 for 25 reps).  Felt fine aswell! Was holding back as I then move to the power plate & didn’t want to fall off again at end of sess! But will up weights again next week. Upped squat also, but not by anything significant, but it’s an increase non-the-less I guess.

Tan-s’good to know I’ll be able to get my frappe fix when I come to seminar!

hiya - so sorry i didn't see this earlier.  Hope u r still coming to the meeting today.  Aim to sstay at least an hour - longer if you want to.  I guess it's generally done within 2 hours but the sit down chat bit is at the beginning.  The gym is open til 4pm if you want to stay longer.  I see you emailed the gym - i don't have an email address there i'm afraid and I'm not sure who your mail went to, but i'm very sorry you didn't get a reply.  Things are a bit manic at the moment down there - and the club isn't run by the gym itself.

Look forward to meeting you !! x

AaaHhh, thank you Annie!
I met a Pro!!!

It was good to go & to meet some people.
Monstor gym is quite something! VERY different to David Lloyd, lol!
Although I would be torn between the two , the atmosphere & focus you feel in a place like monster is like nothing else, love it!
But I do like to treat myself to a steam after my leg WO + cardio + abs that I'm off to do in a mo & the chnaging rooms at DL are slightly bigger & more luxurious! (& bloody well shud be 4 the fees!)
I think I should try to have a WO next time I come over for a meet, maybe even with Nicki that I met (a girl who plans to do figure this year), or we could come early & do some tentative posing practice?

A good day, gonna keep me focused.
Thank You all for organising & giving up your time to be there, I know these things don't just happen.

I think I better point out that the ladies changing rooms at our place are rather small. There are no 'extras' unless you count Paul smiling...which is rare. Air con = fire escape door open, heating on = fire escape door closed!!!! Fot the seminar we may have to let you into the gents (i use the term 'gents' very losely)....don't worry I'll make sure it's all cherry blossom fresh rather than it's usual stinky duds stale! :0)

Re:Figure Contestant Wanabe - 17 February 2009 18:29
Not feeling too hot at mo.

Has a great w/e: meeting Annie & the gang & seeing/ experiencing monster gym.
Mark & I had a nice valentine’s night, not very naughty at all (food wise, haha!) was feeling motivated after earlier meet.
Sunday had great leg WO, upped leg press to 110kg . Diet was to plan.
PT David has said he’d come to next meet with me, so that’d be kule.
Chest n Tris went well Mon am.

But then started feeling queer Mon afo. Got in from work & went straight to bed, not like me.
Mark woke me 7ish to have dinner, had 2 mouthfuls & knew I couldn’t, again not like me, back to bed.
Woke 10pm & was violently sick & then t’other, u know! Was whole days food came back!
Bollox! My body needed those nutrients after WO that am.
Bin off work today feeling quite shaky but had porridge & frappe this am & tuna steak, rice n salad this afo, so am on mend.
But tummy’s really bloated & having seen photos from sat afo am feeling like there’s no hope for me!
Haha, oh woe is me! I know it’s gonna be a long haul, I’m better with those endorphins & dopamine running through my sinues (or whatever yur brains circuitry’s called!).
Back at it tommorrow, back n bis, but think the weights'll be lighter than normal.
xx

Hope its just a 24hr thing, take it easy tomorrow. When do you want to compete? I thought it wasnt till next year in which case you have plenty of time to perfect everything. I know you will get there.

It's not till next year! Just fed up of my body!
It feels really tight & I have great WO's & lift the wieghts & forget I'm carrying this fat suit around & I sometimes get a shock when I look in mirror, lol!
But there's nowt I can do about it now (my starting position) at least I'm now really focused in trying to do aomething about it & have the right people & support around me to do it.

Fi the main thing is you are doing something about it. You didn't gain the weight over night and it's not going to go over night either. It will be a bloody slog and no one will say it is easy because there is no quick easy fix. But when you have done it there will be no one else to take the credit except YOU!!!!!! The self satisfaction of such a personal acheivement will be priceless. You will lose friends over it but you will make new friends because of it....chin up Chicken you are doing fabuously x

Hehe, thanks for the peptalk Tan.

Bill phillips says that if there were a magic pill you could take that would give you your perfect body, he wouldn't reccomend taking it.
Cos you won't gain that satisfaction of having earned it & also you won't have learned the lessons, strength & will power along the journey that are required to succeed in achieving & maintaining such a goal.

Thanks Welshy - Thought I was feeling better, well I am, but 't'other' was still with me this morning so haven't been to gym. Think I should get a good full days eating inside me, get fuel in the tank, before I go back.

GRRRrrrrr,
Tried to eat too much protein too soon Thurs, bleurghh!
Have managed 2 slices toast with peanut butter(lower fat) &  200g rice yesterday & today, s'not good for a growing girl!
I know I've got lots of time but I miss the gym, need my fix! tried to go Fri am for light cardio, but after 10mins was definitely more cold sweat than good WO sweat, came home & I had to concentrate to lift the bags of shopping off the tesco delivery man last night, so I think improving my 110kg leg press might be on hold, lol!!
Hopefully I'll be able to have my chicken dinner tommorrow & will be fuelled & ready to go back Mon am.
