Well done indeed there. Nothing of note training wise lol. I competed and won numerous titles as a natural BBer back in the 90's. Don't think I'll compete again as the dieting ime takes a heavy toll which I am not really willing to go through again. Shame as I've done 2 AAS cycles in the last year for the first time and respond magnificently to them!

You're in your prime. Just keep ploddin' on. You will be amazed how far you can get. Ten years is a long time, it'll go in the twinkling of an eye, but it is a long time.

You are still young but you have wisdom. best of both worlds

Achievements are, learned to train smarter.
              Competed once.
Overcame skin cancer (trust me to get rare form)even docs puzzled.
Started open university and still plodding my way through it.
Eventually found a job I like after leaving armed forces.
Still learning new things and want to achieve other goals while I still can.

I feel quite embarrassed that i am in such great company.

Granted i only turned 40 last September, but even in the years gone by i have not achieved anything like the things some of our older members have achieved.

                  Respect to you all.

                          I'm 48.
Since turning 40 I gave up smoking.
I went back to university and got a 1st Class Honours degree and an award for outstanding work.  Then changed careers and became a psychiatric nurse.
And at the end of this month I'm off to Thailand to train Muay Thai for 2 months in an effort to kick start a weight loss/fitness regime after I piled on stones after packing in smoking and giving up all training after a shoulder injury - weak excuse I know, but it happened, so now I have to put it right.

Can't say that I've done anything of note.  Currently I'm working on regaining and beating my physical fitness and condition of my early thirties, when I was the fittest I've ever been.

Age is a number, attitude counts.

Thanks Malc, but possibly it reads more impressive than it is. I remember my first M1 British Bench in 2004. There were 14 entrants in the M1 alone in the 90s and I came 12th out of 14! Now I usually only have to beat two or three people to take Masters titles. For me records are more important than titles. To win a title, you can be the only one there on the day and you just have to push up the qualifying weight. But a record means you've lifted more than anyone in your class has ever - even if you are using a better shirt than they had years ago - so that's more special.
