Would be interesting to see weekly shots at the end of the 12 weeks to see a gradual progression.

Re:Return of the Drag-on - 06 May 2009 08:35
I really wouldn't do weekly pics Brucie.  I did this last year and it's a proper headfook!  You'll struggle to see any difference, at the min I'm taking pics every 4 weeks and the differences really stand out a lot more which in turn increase your passion for keeping going.  Just a little thing that I found works.

Have a look at the pics in my journal.  I know for sure if Id have done these each week I'd have prob chucked the towel in.

I agree with RACK actually.  Do pics every month or so, there will be more of a noticeable difference then and more motivating.

Re:Return of the Drag-on - 07 May 2009 08:03
Done again.
Managed an hour hard boxing circuit last night at home
I go to a club but for when times limited or im skint i have a full set up in the garage for me and the kids(i keep meaning to get some pics of it all up here, but it needs a tidy the wifes decided to dump everything in there )
This consists of maze ball, floor to ceiling ball, big heavy bag, light bag, angled head/ body bag
so i bang a bas rutten CD on for a warm up then do a few rounds working around the bags

A mate of mine runs a boxing gym so may head over Saturday for some pad work

Today managed another early HIT,45mins treadmill and then a swim
tonight ill try to my little flexability and body weight circuit

Tomo lay in the morning ,as im doing two days on ,one off weights wise and i think ill need the rest then PM off to the boxing class for two hours

Diet wise im eating clean 100% but my protien content is ok but can be better, but soon as my new whey supply turns up that will help.
Next week the diet goes hardcore as well as the training,im planning to keep my body guessing to a degree with the diet, kind of a pyramid set up
I wont say much about this as this stage in case i  come unstuck lol but if my diet plan works out ill post it up at the end of the comp

Also as my fitness increases im going to keep hammering it to stay ahead, roll on burpee tuck jumps circuits

Im pretty sure with the right recovery, which ive always been lukcy to have on my side and the right diet im hoping it will all come together over the weeks

was planning on using my punch bag too, as its more enjoyable than most forms of cardio for me

but went running on first day, and a plantar fascia tendon injury has come back which has put my cardio on hold

I agree about the photos, I'm thinking of 6 weeks so just halfway then final ones

Re:Return of the Drag-on - 20 May 2009 08:03
Cheers guys,8.a.m ish done mt HIT and fat burning, more cardio and stuff this p.m

Diet ive notched up from today and the Pm training.

Ive been adapting an ab rountine i made up years ago, when doing kickboxing, but the new slant ive put has has truly wi[ped me out,was ont eh gym floor unable to move for a good 10mins after

Not sure if i'll end up with a six pack or a row of hernias, totally brutal beyond words

Things are going well ish but ive never someone who is happy with results, really tyring to tweak the details bit by bit
the diet has been inf orce since last tuesday, yesterday a week in felt like 6 weeks didnt help with the kids eating vanilla slines and waving them at me making mmmmmmmmm noises lol

there are no short cuts only pain!

anthoer day another push, finish strong everyone

Re:Return of the Drag-on - 25 May 2009 18:01
its passed thankfully lol
Not eaten a bad thing to date, been bang on the money day in day out,but if my methods will work are another thing, also im messing with my routine which prob aint the best thing while  trimming back on the food

Mood and general well being wise,a few times (earlier today for one) ive felt a moment of weakness but it passes (so far lol) but im not liking a slight dip in strength nor the slight loss of some chunk, but its part of the process owt lost can be recouped ,the belly and face fat going are the priority for vanity and health reasons

Its hard mentally to keep track of what real loss and gains to those felt, scales and tapes dont have a lot to do with how it feels ,so that can be tough

Its time to dial in some intensity now,i didnt want to dive in ,i wanted to shed a few bits of lard feel it out then go for it,i think its time

no short cuts only pain

your not pleased with the results so far, I'd be over the moon, I cant see any real difference in my shape other than just being slightly smaller all over, but your waist has pulled in dramatically

I need to get mine in check, looking at my training its not hard to see why no progress with my waist, 200 crunches in 4 weeks just aint going to cut it

Re:Return of the Drag-on - 04 June 2009 07:52
Cheers Papa ,aint easy in my house the kids eat so much crap and love to tease me lol but ive been hardcore for the most
Cheers Fi,The in laws will still call me the bulldog no doubt(i think they get it from the churchiills dog lol)

With recent events more settled its time to pull the stops out and go b4lls to the wall with this one.
7:45 a.m approx done my Weights ,some fat burning low intensity cardio and some streching and ab work

Tonight, a run and skip for a few rounds
Friday ,same over with boxing (classes not home) in   the P.M.
 Saturday, same as today
Sunday, boxing and rest
Then next week  5 days  early doors weights , fat burning slow cardio in the a.m. ,Boxing at the clubs 4 times in the week with a few runs.skipping and dog walks (if i survive taking the wife to Take that on Monday lol)

Download fest the next weekend (Fri ,sat ,sun),so after that its flat out

Currently its a 5am start ,gym then placement 830 till 4:30 then assigments and portfolio stuff and relfective writting from 6ish  till 10.30-11pm then start over, but this week and next are the last then its back in Uni full time,so i can dig out on training and eating

I cant wait tbh now a lot of guts gone i feel more like my old self pre RTA,Lots more energy and a feel so much better for it and find training so much easier

Last time i was at the boxing gym i still had a gut so it was in the way ,like having a wok strapped to my front :)but now i feel i can get the CV capacity back and be a force to be reckoned with on the circuits and give the young 19yr olds a good run

I'll maybe put some old pics up on here for fun,pre training, then going from 8.1/2 st to 13st then getting fat after the crash to 15 etc

With the kids issues sorted i feel like a new man, couple more things to address and ill be back to my old self full mischief and balls out training
