MT Stand Bench Press Comp Results - BodyPower

Thanks to Big Les, Micky & Drew for their help with this.

We ran the mens & womens classes on both days.  Men benched 80kg and the women 40kg.  The highest number of reps was the winner!

SATURDAY
Mens
 (Under 90kg)     James Sheargold        31 reps
 (Over 90 kg)     Robster Le Monster     49.5 reps
                       Lukas Gabris              49.5 reps

Womens
 (Under 65kg)     Jordanna                   42 reps

I was there on sunday, didn't see any of that I saw the bench and joked it was for James to curl out of (not sure he appreciated the joke, he curls in th squat rack... maybe my bad sense of humour lol)... saying that the MT area was always rammed, you need to sort that out next time hazel, hard to see what was going on at a lot of the events.

That was the problem with being next to the main stage, could hardly move when people were watching the main events.  We will know for next year!

76 reps?  That's a crazy amount.. Strong strong man..

76 reps is mighty impressive.. Wonder if he is a powerlifter/strongman.

Wasn't just MT hazel... near the power lifting bench press comp, only the people at the edge could see and there was hundreds stood about trying to catch a glimsp through gaps lol
Strongman was slightly better as there was more space, but still struggled to see...
Maybe all of the things could of done with some big screens, score boards, loud MC's cause it was hard to tell what was going on... the guys who did that 20kg DB thing go it right IMHO

I did enjoy it though, saw lots of mates there and that, a few from MT so was worth a visit.
And it's the 1st one so can only get better. *thumbs up*

Nah, no worries James I wasn't myself so wouldn't of been much to talk to anyway, I'd been out the night before all night, hadn't had even an hours sleep.
You could see you were busy, it's a big thing to organise so understand why you was running about I'd be the same.

Don't worry. I don't even bench 80kg
Mind you, I haven't tried it so I could probably have pumped one out for the WIN!!!!
But I didn't even bother as I didn't know there was an under 90kg class Besides, I'd have looked mighty stupid dropping 80kg on my face.

I would have entered if I had known as I did the maximuscle BW bench challenge and I weigh 80kg and got out 15reps.

I think I got 38/39 can't remember the exact number, i had just eaten, i felt very sick afterward!!!!

Jordie is my better half, I think she was one of the first girls to take part and put off some of the others.

is tehre a timetable for when the bench press comp will be done this year? i dont want to miss it!! my training partner is under 90kg and can do somewhere close to 50 i reckon.

Do you mean the main BP comp, or the one on our stand as per this topic?

the one on your stand. the 80kg bench press one. its only muscletalk glory i think hes interested in (although hes not even a member, computer illiterate).
