Hey, thanks guys. Jim, I don't see any leaning. The high socks/low pants create a little illusion: if you pause it where I'm at the bottom you can see my real ass peaking at my knees, lol. But, yeah, it was just parallel. I tend to go deeper but I failed the first attempt so I thought I'd not go as deep to make the lift.

Hi W. Good training. Lots of good lifts and varity. Plenty strong for your age and weight too. The pic above is that the deepest you went? If so it appears you are quite a bit above parrallel. A vid from the side would make it clearer. Your knees are also coming in, which means your not opening up the legs and your squating forward onto your knees. Plus the footwear looks like not helping causing you feet to turn in? Keep the vids coming. Nothing like a good journal with nice vids!

Hey iaink, thanks for stopping by. I definitely appreciate and welcome any advice. I agree, the depth wasn't great, and the angle was a little funny: looks like I'm leaning forward on my toes or something. I'll remember to get any squat taken from the side next time. I actually wore oly lifting shoes with a very high heel for the first time during that session and did all the lifts prior to the one in the video with them, changed to the old sneakers after failing the first attempt@345 with the oly shoes (not 100% used to them yet). Not the prettiest lift, was a 1rm after all

^ Jackson: woke up late and missed the 1st event, did a pressing event and then a squat event, my leg cramped and I was out. Didn't really care, had a nice workout :P Update: I have a home gym now: -awesome power cage with a chin up bar -new oly barbell -new bumper plates -old bench -old dumbbells will obviously result in more barbell training and probably more frequent workouts.

I think my training will be something like this now, Back day, Press day, Leg day (1 or 2 day rest between each) and will be centered around the powerlifts and oly lifts. The rest days will be cardio/boxing/bw-exercising or just rest. Once in a while I'll do some strongman training. as for bodyweight plans, it's either bulk and cut for summer or just lean bulk and stretch the bw:lift ratios as much as possible.

Test driving my home gym. Barbell weights only go to 255lbs and DB to 85lbs (for now). Deadlifts (double overhand/technique work) 6x3 @ 255lbs Shrugs 4x12 @ 255lbs DB Row 2x15 @ 85lbs 3x12 @ 85lbs Strict Pull ups 4x5 @ BW did it in very short time- fat pump in lats and upper back

The plates are in pounds (live in USA). IIRC at some points in the journal I've typed kilos, there I use kg plates.

thinking about doing some NAStrongman events that are taking place nearby in May... would be men's open <200lbs. I'd have to bulk up. Ok, signed up for a strongman comp that's in 3 weeks, a 175lbs open class been lifting little for the past week.. some serious ongoing personal issues taking all my time March 11 .. weighed 171.5 with shoes/full stomach Axle Clean & Press 1x3 @ 135lbs 1x3 @ 155lbs 1x3 @ 175lbs 3x5 @ 180lbs (one of the events at the comp is to rep that weight out for 75sec, feel very confident with that one) 1x1 @ 220lbs (just a continental clean) Farmer's walk 1x80ft @ 225lbs per hand (one of the events, felt very easy, did a long hold at the end of it) Tire Flips Did reps for 75 sec with a 550bs tire: managed 15 easy without pushing myself too hard: bicep was feeling a little weird so I was extra careful

March 12 hour of HI cardio/stretching.. stuff March 13 Front Squats Worked up to two easy 315lbs singles Deadlifts Worked up to a very smooth 460lbs single Kettlebell Swings/Snatches 40lbs 3 x 8/8 Kettlebell Side Raises 80lbs 3 x 15

March 18 .... weighed a tiny 165lbs at the gym, I don't know what's up and I don't care because I'm getting stronger Farmer pick ups (handles at 11 or 12 inches) 3x3 @ 200lbs/hand (warm up of sorts) Axle C&P 1x5 @ 135lbs 1x5 @ 165lbs 1x5 @ 180lbs (easy, should get well over 10 reps in the competition) Farmer's walk/Keg Carry 1x70ft @ 225lbs per hand/230lbs keg Farmer pick ups (simulating neutral grip car deadlift) 1x3 @ 275lbs per hand, handles 11 or 12inch from ground .. felt very strong

Been busy.. deloading and prehabbing this week before the contest on Saturday. I'm 171 pounds right now, will be in the 175 and under class. feeling strong Last weekend Axle Clean each & Press 4x6-8 @ 82kg Farmer's Walk 3x60ft @ 240lbs/hand Tire Flips 2x4 @ "almost 800lbs" Some Box jumps like 4x10 onto 50 inch then some singles to a ~55 Rolling Thunder bunch of doubles per hand with 146lbs of plates plus the implement ~165lbs?
