they are good when you first use them, then they become **** imo

I dont use mine, might just as well bake your food really, they are just heated grill plates, nothing fancy,I dont rate it at all anymore.

Infact I am getting rid of mine and buying a halogen oven in its place! lol

I think their general build quality has deteriorated over the years. Even the expensive ones feel cheap and plasticky to me.

I bought this one a few months ago and it's sturdier than any George I've ever owned. I'm very happy with it and I'd never buy another George again.

There are many better alternatives to the George nowadays if you look around.

I've had one for years and I do rate them. They do get cacked up eventually and I am now on my 3rd but I bought the one with removable plates that can go in the dishwasher. I also spray the plates with 1 cal spray now, just to help keep them from getting too **** up.

I have one and I would recommend purchasing one.

Really good for burgers as it takes a lot of the fat away.  I like using the grill for turkey steaks too.

ditto to what suspirio  markfj said
ive had mine for 2years+, have used it on a regular basis (at least 5 times a week) and now when i cook my chicken, it doesnt come out as juicy as it did. the texture is very rough (using more or less same/similar marinades)

i got one and love cooking withit, only thing is i never do because it makes so much mess! what am i missing here? e.g. i marinade some chicken/turkey then throw em in, then when i open the plate its all stuck to the griddle! they taste great! but once its cooled its a b!stard to clean! and i dont think i can put it in the sink! so im stuck rubbing it with a wet cloth as i dont wanna scratch the grill up :(

Try spraying the plates with cooking spray, works for me.

We've had one for a few years now and we use it very often.  I'd recommend one, although there are other makes around now though which may be as good or better.  Only problem is that all the non stick stuff comes off and now it is a fcuker to clean.  We've only used a sponge and hot water to clean it!  A new grill is on our crimbo list..

Hope you haven't been eating the non-stick coating if it has been coming off on your food.

That stuff will not be good for you.

It is one of my reservations about using these things.

The George Foreman grill rules!  It's really convenient for cooking your chicken, fish, and even steak.  It's easy to clean too.  I've never had a problem with the non-stick coating coming off. I would highly recommend it...

All the best...

i hate it,

at 1st it was great and now the food comes out so dry on the outside and then you have to paste it with more oil or marinate to make it soft...... ohhhhhh man, no more!!

i prefer my oven or grill

Agreed.  Mine stoppped working about a week after the guarantee ran out. It was b*stard to clean - so I just bake 8 chicken breats at a time in the oven after seasoning them.  Taste much better IMHO - the George left the food looking and tasting a bit flacid!!
