Stick them in a microwavable dish, loose fitting plate on top for about 5 mins. Job done, almost like fried eggs without the extra fat!

IMO they tend to go rubbery cooked in the microwave unless you do them as scrambled eggs

I cook eggs in the microwave in a plastic poaching container bought from Tesco. Does 2 eggs at a time and they come out superbly. It takes 45-60secs for two eggs but this can vary so you tend to check on them. I rub a tiny bit of spread around the inside of the container with my finger, crack the eggs in, pierce the yolks, then run the tap and drip a little water onto each egg - no more than a teaspoon per egg, then whack them in for 60secs but open the door and the lid on the container. You could i think do it with small plastic tubs but the egg poachers are so cheap and do a great job. Whack them on a slice of wholegrain toast, touch of brown sauce, lots of black pepper. Mmmm i'm peckish now
Awesome pic, but Tony you're not doing yourself many favours posting up tips on preventing the gag reflex and then a picture of a guy touching his toes - Ak
