Blue_Lagoon3000 Is Roo-Killing something that the Auzies actually do in their spare time? I had a mate who was over from Auz and he said the kids/teenagers used to run through the bush with machetes chasing after kangaroos and chopping them, thats terrible Is it true? On large properties in Aus-Roos are considered vermin and they have a lot of wild pigs/Boars-so it is not un common for this to happen. Aus is a Fckin huge place-you can drive 2 days straight and still be on the same property you was when you started!-you can fit the whole of the UK in the New South Wales area something like 13 times. Conservation is a big thing in Aus-when the early settlers came across they brought animals that are not part of the natural eco system so the knock on effect was catastrophic-for example they brought rabbits across for food-then those rabbits bred like wild fire and what feeds on rabbits? Snakes! so the population of snakes goes through the roof and so on!.

jacked_fibres hugh jackman or russell crowe? neighbours or home and away? Are most of the Islanders massive naturally. Hi mate, The Jackman for sure-take his fitness pretty serious Hugh. Home and Away-only because its local-most of the cast train at the FF I train at. Islanders!! un fckin believable -some of them are about 15 yrs old 15stone and have a full beard!!- we used to have a window cleaner at work who looked like a silver back gorilla-never touched a weight in his life-so one day one of the I.T guys invites him down the gym- First warm up set shoulder presses the 90's for 20 reps and says was that alright!!!-but they are as thick as two short planks!. I once got the ferry to work and this school kid was sat next to me obviously an Islander-he was reading the newspaper-it was the funniest thing he put the newspaper down on his lap after reading and I'm not joking he looked like the ex wrestler the Rock in his little shorts and white knee high socks-I looked like 'mini me 'next to him!-I bet he was 6ft about 15/16stone full goat tee beard and a cap on!

Been to Byron Bay and Fiji, Fiji my favourite. Worked at the Centrepoint tower and on the harbour when I was travelling, great lifestyle and I understand why you jumped at the chance to live there. How often do you get back to the Uk or do family prefer to visit you?

How often do you get back to the Uk or do family prefer to visit you? Only been back once-Its the cost mainly with kids you need an entourage. I pay for my mum to come out-Mum and sister have been out twice. At least they get a holiday out of it we just get to go home at great expense. Sydney is a great city-but I'm not a city person-love peace and quiet must be getting old-I think 28yrs of living in Manchester is an equivalent to a lifetime in any city!

VB - I'd say. What are the prospects like for future career development within your indsutry and where would you like to be in 5/10 or even 20 years time in reference to your career? Where can you see it developing?

James What's your favourite barbeque food? How many real Sheilas do you know? What's your favorite larger? Favourite BBQ food is prawns-usually buy a kilo-shell them and throw them on for a few minutes. No Sheilas I'm afraid and I only know one Bruce. I'm not really a lager lover-i have found some nice boutique beers-one called James Squire and another called Hefeweizen-which is also a wheat beer there very smooth.

Where can you see it developing? Surprising not a lot of Aussie I know drink VB-its a bit of cheap beer that people bring to BBQ's just to say 'Oh I bought some beers with me-lets see whos I can nic'. I like my job but as I mentioned earlier its a bit of a pain commuting-theres is room for development but it would have to be big bucks-Ideally so my Mrs wouldn't have to work at all. I'd love to find work closer to home but the wages just won't match that of the money you can earn in the city. I've always been a bit of an opportunist so well see what comes along.

What other sports are you into? Hi Neb, We did buy the house, been in it 2yrs now(interest rates have started to go up again already)-going to start some renovations next weekend-my neighbour is builder who is Scottish who doesn't mind wee tiple now and again-so now I've found his method of payment we''ll go from there Not really interested in Sports mate-don't mind watching the major events though. I really don't have the time to tell the truth-I have to leave the house at 5am every morning so I'm in bed for 9pm every night. mrs works weekends and I have the kids so no real spare time. Don't think I'll post anymore pics of the House-I think most are sick of it

I lived in Sydney for a year and absolutley loved it - I wouldlove to move back there one day. My question is how did you find the visa application was it as stressful/expensive as some people make it out to be?

MJH Whats the Aussie nightlife like? They have a very good night life in the City-like most cities really. There is a big Gay presence within the inner city night life. Don't go out much myself between work and looking after the kids theres no time left, mostly BBQ with neighbours and parents from Kindy.

Jock I lived in Sydney for a year and absolutley loved it - I wouldlove to move back there one day. My question is how did you find the visa application was it as stressful/expensive as some people make it out to be? My wife did all the Visa application herself-most people get a solicitor can cost around 10 grand-we are only here in Aus due to my wifes skills. When it was all ok'd we had to go to NZ for 2 weeks-you have to get your passport stamped and you can't be in the country. This bit was the only pain in the arse. The best piece of advise I was given was don't get caught in the Sydney trap!-Australia is a huge place and theres plenty of beautiful cities and towns apart from Sydney. Most people stay with the English and this is the first mistake-get to know the Aussies and they will help and show you shortcuts with employment and other things. Cheer

Ballbag AKA onefatidiot Do you think you will move back to england ever? How old are you? Hi mate, I'm 38 I would never say never-you just don't know what opportunities arise. I will try and stay until my kids have finished school-then maybe travel a bit more. I stayed in Miami for a few months and I quite liked that so who knows. My wife is halfway through a qualification that will allow her to specialize in Oncology and teach at Uni-and I know that most Countries would jump at the chance of having these skills. I'm as thick as pig **** and tag along for the ride

Rasputin Have you/ do ever have any problems with Snakes etc? To tell the truth I've only ever seen 2 snakes, once i was stood outside a KFC and a Red Bellied Black Snake shot across the road and over a garden wall, 2nd one was taking the dog for a walk, It was stood up about 4 feet in the air by the river bank as soon as it noticed us approaching it shot off. My house backs on to a reserve so I'm surprised I've not seen more.

JK2 Hello BigDownUnder, An enthusiastic publisher has offered you A$250,000 to write a book. What's your book going to be all about? It wouldn't be a book it would be a magazine-called 'Talking Sh*t'-It would be a monthly purchase full of interesting stories and facts-you would place in your bathroom to read whilst on the loo or in the bath-the back page would be blank so you could fill in your interesting story/fact. If your story/fact gets published you get that copy for free.

You've mentioned your encounters with snakes above but I'd be more concerned about the sydney funnel web, have you encountered any of these? Would also like to know how the aussies reacted to their recent ashes defeat? Cheers

TGR London You've mentioned your encounters with snakes above but I'd be more concerned about the sydney funnel web, have you encountered any of these? Would also like to know how the aussies reacted to their recent ashes defeat? Cheers Yeh not seen many snakes but spiders **** yeh!!-Spiders are everywhere-not seen many funnel webs but Redbacks are all over my garden-I've seen Huntsman spiders as big as my hand. I once tried to move one out of the hall because I thought it might get trodden on and it turned round and bit me. The spiders webs are bigger than a car. The Ashes defeat was taken very quietly!-I've not heard much about it to tell the truth.
How dare you queston my heritage!! theirs a bottle of HP sauce in my fridge.

The Aussies are a bit "la la la not listening" when any sport doesn't go their way. My brother spent 5months over there in 2006 and summarised it like this; In the UK when sports coverage is on, say the commonwealth games - Great Britain may be in the 100m butterfly swimming and comes 5th. When the awards giving comes on we'll discuss our position, how we did, then focus on the 4/3/2/1 place competitors and give comment on each both positive and negative. If we come 1st we'll still cover 4/3/2/1 place competitors but obviously will spend more time discussing our own efforts. In Australia when coverage is on and Australia is in the swimming and comes 2nd the coverage will show most of the 4/3/2/1 positions but focus understandably on the Aussie competitor. Should the Aussie competitor come say 5th the focus will stay on their competitor and you might be lucky if you actually get to find out who came where in anything other than a quick flash of a leaderboard onscreen In your experience is this fair comment?
Awesome pic, but Tony you're not doing yourself many favours posting up tips on preventing the gag reflex and then a picture of a guy touching his toes - Ak

My neighbours wouldn't talk to me for 2 weeks-It was probably the St George Cross that I had on the roof of my car..
