Re:forddee's off to London UKBBF - 31 October 2009 15:41
Thanks dazc  and Luke.

Done legs today Sq/Ex/press nothing to mad just keeping good muscle focus .
Also did Bie's ,had good muscle pumps and did not use any pre training supps as its nice just to feel a fresh when i use supps on monday again .

I have one more leg workout before i start resting them which will be lungs/Aductors/narrow press and hams. So i will have 12 days till show day to rest them and cuts to come in.

Legs are a big stcking point for me as i find it hard to get them to grow ,but this time round i have mixed the training up and done Lunges in the work out and narrow lstand leg press and hit hams a bit more .
I still feel there is more room for growth they but that takes time.

Re:forddee's off to London UKBBF - 03 November 2009 11:31
Well its the closing few week now and CV was done this morning walking the dog in the woods out my house and with the rain and leaves on the ground i had to careful as my staff runs a million miles an hour for the whole walk.
I will be hitting Hams and light quad work, no power movements today (Sq,press).
And over all this cut has not been to bad on the mind and body.
There are a number of things i can put this down to.

1. The drop off Tren Ac which on last cuts was run at 75/100mg EOD starting at 8 weeks out.
2. I have stayed on Test until the last 4 weeks were i would normly drop it at 8 weeks out.
3. T3 at 50mcg max, were in the past i have run it up to 100mcg.
4. Started CV at 8 weeks out at 20mins working up to 40 mins.

I am feeling the low carb sleepy ness and the sofa calls me all day long and with lots of little jobs to do round the house ,all i can think about is what movie i can watch on TV and the sweet tin calls me each time i go into the kitchen.

I have my last two night shifts to do tonight and tomorrow up until the show and these are a killer for me as i could be walking up to 12 miles a night ,so the mix of a late night and low carbs is like being on a long plane fight.
So it back to the sofa back soon

Yep the plans almost done Rack.

Just got off the phone with James L and i am off to see him on Friday to see how the next part of things are going to be done ,this is something i tried to do in April this year but my car let me down on the way up there .
I am looking forward to seeing him and putting my mind on the right track.
And i feel i need to tune my posing in some more ,as after the advice from the last show it needs some working on.

Re:forddee's off to London UKBBF - 06 November 2009 16:35
Well i did the long trip to see James L and should of have seen 5 week ago and i would be post a great story of how good i am going to come but i am not.
In the cold light of day James said i am holding to much fat and will not come in as good as i did in the April show, this is because i have been fooling myself on how good i look ,when i should had the all seeing eye to tell me to up my CV and pull a few other thing together but as said i did not.

So i am going ahead with the show, with the plan i have from James and will do my best but even so i will kick myself as i know i could of done better.

This is a low day for me, but for me to learn i seem to of had one .

The show will go on

hey buddy, sorry i havent posted much...a lot on my plate right now and sadly its not the dinner plate

James.L has hopefully given you the further drive to grind away what you can in the remaining time you have, hindsight is a great thing but as you know bodybuilding is all about progression.
Next time round you'll no doubt tweak things more and come in even better.

I can so relate to the low carb tiredness, all my legs want to do is rest!! cardio through walking is very tiring even though it sounds 'light', can be very soul destroying when you have a small downer over the fact you only feel like you've sat down!!

all the best mate

The carb up has been done by James and has been changed since the last one he did for me,but mostly its the same ,with a few things done.
So i am going to follow the plan and run the race and see what i end up with.

Now i am going to jump the gun here i think ,i am leaner than another time i have come in a show prep.
But after seeing James he said the standard of the UKBBF now is for the super ripped look , which he new i was not going to get 100%,and his standard is super high as he make winniers for a living.

It would be nice if MT's James see's me on the day and get another view on my look.

yeah, i would agree with that mate, condition seems to be the most important thing at the moment, and places people with poor balance higer than those with good balance but not so ripped.  ideally the winners would always have both, but i suppose they have to decide what is more important.

Im sure JL wanted to bring you in shredded, like you say he trains winners and sets high standards, so even with him saying your off condition, it could be that you are better than previous shows.

if james (MT) is there, im sure he will give you a good evaluation as well, and you can count on it being honest and critical.

I'll be sure to give you a good evaluation.  I have a 2-3 meetings to attend at the event, which category are you so I can catch you?

Or, if we're both there in time, I'll have a look at you in the toilets beforehand if you like?

Re:forddee's off to London UKBBF - 13 November 2009 18:26
Today i have mostly been going to the bog 7L of evian and no stop number ones

I am still loading and have changed carbs to potatoes and it still seem's odd eating so much but as yet not filling full, and if i do its only for a short period of time.

Went to LIDLS and the Veet cream was on offer for 99p per tube bargain ,and Morrison its £4 for the same amount.
So i got 4 tubes and used two to do my hole body.

I have put on 3 coats of Pro-tan and am very vascular all over ,all i have lift to do today is have a light shower and shave any bits missed and one more coat before bed.

In the morning i am of to the gym stuido to do some posing and routine practise and then off to London at 1pm to a hotel close to the show ,that me and the wife are staying at just to chill out and have some lazy time with the wife.

Re:forddee's off to London UKBBF - 16 November 2009 09:58
Show report

So the jobs done and this is how it went.

As you may know i got into London ,Sat evening and got to the hotel did all my post show stuff tan, food, chilling ,snooze.

Had a bit of a nightmare finding a good place to get a fillet steak for my 8pm meal ,as most places on the Satnav took us into the airport and the TGI fridays i was looking forward to ,but parking in the airport put that out of the window.

So i found a place close to the hotel and got some food ,and in the process peeing the wife off and being an self centered twat/ass hole.
Which i am truly sorry for this and put this all down to my pre show zombie head.

Had an ok sleep and left the hotel at 11.45am for the doors opening for the weigh in at 12am.

The venue
We got to the venue ,and i got weighed in at 82.3kg ,so i had put on 1 1/2kgs since the April show and that I was happy with.
After that i come out and saw James L who had a good look at us and said i was alot leaner from last time i saw him and he was happy with me.
About half hour later i saw James C right you turn in the bog and there was Haris Dambrauskas a real big fella looking in the mirror making sure he looked good, so off  with the tshirt and bottoms, Haris had a good look as James ask me to move into a better light .
And round two in the bag James C was happy with my look. So now i know i had done my best and i know i have stuff to work on and always will have.

We all had our pre-show meeting at 2.15pm about Tan and keeping the place clean and a few other things.

3.00pm
I went  back stage to chill and get ready for my class ,which was the thrid class on ,15mins or so later a man come down to call for the U90 inters.
And off it was up stairs to pump up finish the oiling up and have some honey.

On stage
I was the first on ,as said there was four in the line up two i had seen the forth i did not which was 21 who had alot of support.
I just forced on the job at hand and went for it, I new 21 had more mass than me so I tried to show my cuts in my frame the best i could .
"No12,13 step back 14,21 step along and 12,13 step along move forward so i was next to 21 ,21's support let it have it (massive tris 21!! when the pose was called for) so did my best to show of my ripped oblqies (spelling ?) with the side tri.
A few more calls and man/posing and off we all went ,then all back on for our routines.
And then the top 3 was called back on, which i was the frist being in number order,i had made one more step, had the hours of CV worked in James L plan?
More posing and the final call "and in 3rd place 13",i new now at worst i could do was 2nd place.
Please ,please had my cuts done it ?.
"And in frist place we have two D's Daniel and Darren which one is 1st place", pause and in 1st place Daniel (21) i dropped my head, beaten to the post could of 5 more kgs of mass done it yes i think it could but i did not have it "yet".

Job done
So second it was, I had my on stage pics done and looked forward to my wife and kids and of course my food M'M's.

But my work was not over yet ,I was also there with my training partner Geoff who was doing the over 50's class and has only been training for about 2 years now. Geoff had to do his part of the day , so i took him through all i had just done and he took first place in the O50's 5 stars Geoff.

After that it was time for the 2hr drive home i would of liked to of seen more of the show ,but the day dose go on and rest it needed.

So its back to the real world now, to deal with the advice from James L ,monster legs ,bigger arms.

Thanks James C for you keen eye and one day we may have to sit and chat, i will be retiring 28 years time and i have a spear fishing rod .

Thanks loads Daz

falling out with the wife day before the show isnt good! lol sure by now though she understands that it does involve being very selfish for a few days now and then!
