5mg dose from 50mg tabs

Hi, sorry but this isnt a bodybuilding related question.

A family member has Crohns and they have purchased some naltrexone from an online pharmacy. The use of LDN to treat Crohns is not licensed and his GP will not prescribe it, although many do.

His problem is that the tabs he sourced are 50mg. He requires 5mg a time.

Any ideas of what he can do?

Thought of crushing it up into an oral syringe with water and dosing 1/10th at a time? should be reasonable accurate if well crushed and mixed.

Other than that buy some very accurate scales

Also considered the scales route but I couldn't find any that weight to 3 dp.

That sounds like the best option, should be pretty accurate like you say as long as it is shaken properly everytime. He will have to make some allowance for the filler too when considering how much water to use.
