i was told they help to carry the fat out of your body.
anyone know anymore about oats?
and are they good?
if so why?

    The soluble fibre in oats carries a little dietary fat & cholesterol out of your body.
    The carbohydrate in oats is slowly absorbed so it doesn't cause wild fluctuations in blood glucose levels which is good news when you're cutting.
    The fat in oats is mainly monounsaturated which is O.K.
    Oats are also relatively high in protein.

          It's also worth nothing that like many (all?) wholefoods the whole is greater than the sum of the parts (ably noted above).
