Morning Training vs Evening Training - 28 October 2009 08:59
I have always been a fan of training in the morning and eating for the workout i just did. Will training in the evening and say getting only 2 meals in after effect my gains?

For those who train in the evening, how do you eat after? Especially if you train around 8 or 9pm and in bed soon after. Cheers

One way to find out.

Though getting in two meals should be more than fine.

As long as your trianing & eating does not effect you getting to sleep I would not worry about it.

I train around 8 at night, hate morning training as I dont feel I have full energy for my workout.

I have a post workout shake after training then 2 meals before bed, half an hour before bed I take a slow release protein shake.

as long as youre diet throughout the day is fine then trainign whenever will be fine and wont make that much of a difference, its all about when you prefer to/can train really

The food you are using to fuel your workout is actually food you have eaten a day earlier so you will be fine.

nomally takes me about 3 hours to wake up properly so morning training just dont work for me. i think its the psychological effect of eating all those carbs all day that i get in a mind set of "i will lift 2.5 kg more than last week". i tried training in the morning a couple of times and i just left the gym feeling disappointed with myself and my workout.
