Gym In Bristol - 01 November 2009 16:23
I have browsed the search results and noticed a few gyms are mentioned but I kinda have another consideration. I'm doing voluntary work for a year and as such am skint, so I need a cheap but good gym. I'm also in Highbury Vaults area and would prefer to walk if poss.

LA fitness is close enough, only just over a mile, but can anyone tell me prices (and if it really is that unsafe to walk through easton). Fitness4less is another poss as it is £15pm but I've heard not so good reports.

I dont mind driving but cant afford fitness first and 11 mile round trip.

Ohh, I only went to FF cos it was cheapest in yorkshire where I was based, I'm not a chavvy lifter/poser. I take lifting seriously(the small weight I can manage anyway ;-))

Cheers,

Dave

I know where LA fitness is but not sure about prices, I'll ask Papa L to pop in, he might know.

LA Gym is the best - http://maps.google.co.u...021818,0.038581&z=15
£4 a day, £12 a week or £30 a month.

Empire Gym is good too but it alternates mens days and womens days so you only get half a weeks use for your money (eg £100 for 6 months is in reality 3 months use).

I'm a student and use the U.W.E gym, IMO its a good gym. Not hardcore but if you are into your  bars/free weights then its good! The machined weights there are pretty good too.
