Depends upon you really.

If you are going to have a large amount of simple/high GI CHO pre training than I would continue to sip some though the training session and have something like palatinose at the end.

When recommending something general I tend to get people to go for palatinose just before, maybe something higher GI during and after.

As long as you're avoiding big swings in blood sugar in training and not over consuming at the wrong times or damaging teeth it's not really a problem what you go for.

I'm having a big scoop of fine ground scottish oats and 1 scoop protein powder about an hour before training, and straight after I have scoop protein with scoop of maltodextrin
