Strength of different muscles? - 01 November 2009 22:51
Hi guys,

I noticed that I shoulder press almost as much as I bench press... I was wondering what a normal ratio would be.

for example at max I can

bench 42kg dumbells for 8 reps

shoulder press 35kg for 8 reps

biceps curls 20kg for 8 reps

I guess everyone will find that different muscles grow faster than others... just curious what kind of ratios other people had.

depends on what sort of shoulder press you're talking about...

standing bar ohp press I find is about 2/3 of bench

Im **** at shoulder pressing. Think ive done like 70 x 5 standing but ive benched 140. Depends on the person and their technique/proportions.
