Told Fiance' on AS (Freaked out) - 03 November 2009 06:59
Hi Guys

I am half way through my first cycle of Sustanon 250 mg and my Fiance did not know that I was taking AS. I recently told her and she totally freaked out, because she thinks that they are dangerous. I explained to her that they are not dangerous depending on dosage and correct PCT, however I would like to show her evidence such as an article or so that she can get a piece of mind.

Does anybody know of a few articles that I can show her and explain to her that if I have a low dosage like I do and a good PCT that she should not be worried, and that I will be able to have kids one day.

Your help is much appreciated

mate you should have told her before and then convinced her that it is safe if you research and know what you are doing. thats what i did and told her about this site and it turns out she now knows more than me (she is a secretary and just looks at the internet all day).

Plus it also good for some important people in you life to know you are on just incase something were to go wrong.

oh well, at least she knows now. hope everything goes well. it only takes a little reading to see that all the ****e you hear about is not true. has she quoted arnold's heart operations yet. thats always an annoying one. heart attack? must be the steroids.

Point out to her that Sustanon is used in the medical profession.

I dont think anything you tell her will make her think otherwise, going to take alot of re-education from the media perspective that she has been given over the years

I'm wondering how my mother will react when I tell her about my use...probably the same...good job I don't have to live with her

There is a great movie called Bigger Stronger Faster that was released not long ago. It's definately worth watching. Check out the trailer here:

You could do your cycle and get private bloodwork done monthly, then go see your GP for a physical a month after PCT.

Then she can see in black and white.

Like anything, they are relatively healthy and safe.  Done to extremes they can be dangerous and hurt you.

In reality, a light 500mg per week cycle will offer very little sides (perhaps the chance of gyno in some, oedema and a few other minor sides may manifest) but in term of general body health eg kidneys, heart, thyroid and liver you will be fine, altho you may wish to keep an eye on blood pressure.

You can monitor these all by having a general health check at your GP before and after the cycle - maybe just before you start (at say week 1) and then after pct and time off (week 26, assuming 12 weeks on, 12 weeks off + PCT of 2 weeks)).

If you want to check blood pressure, you can get a unit for £10-20 that you can take checks with as you need - bare in mind you'll want to keep monitoring BP as outside stimuli can give a falsely high reading if you are under pressure or feel stressed, or indeed have just eaten, for example.

If anything its positive, she'll get you with a better body and she'll get more of a workout and a tune up from you as you sex drive rockets LOL

Some tips:

It's easy to say 'they're fine, no harm, etc' but make sure you let her know that you know of the risks. Let her know you've researched it and are aware of all the risks. She'll see through it otherwise. When I told mine, I kept saying 'I'm not keeping anything from you' and basically shocked her with some of the side effects. This lets her know that I'm not a ****ing idiot and I'm aware of this stuff and know how to avoid/minimise it.

Let her know that she's the most important thing and she has the power to make you stop. If she absolutely wants you to, she can tell you to stop and you will. This will force her to be open-minded and educate herself before she thinks about making a decision. Let her know that if she thinks you're getting overly aggressive, you'll stop. But equally tell her not to abuse this power and bring it up in every argument!

Let her know your reasons for taking it and don't let her think it's purely because you're not happy with yourself. Personally, my main reason is for efficiency, I can make more progress with a calculated risk. Obviously none of us are really happy with our bodies, but don't let her know that this is a big reason because it may make her feel like she has a part to play in it.

When you've done all this, point out the dangers of alcohol and, if you've dabbled in reccy drugs together, you can use this too. Not to mention the fact that steroids complement the healthy living lifestyle. You're not shooting up or doing pills every weekend - you're not reckless with your health.

This is what I learnt when I told my girlfriend 1 year into our relationship. We weren't living together (which was my reason for not telling her sooner). I wouldn't say she's fine with it but she understands and once every few weeks I'll speak to her about it and ask her about her thoughts because she is more important to me and I would stop for her. I showed her some websites and instantly she said 'yeah but this is all biased' and it's true... but she trusts me which is worth more. Oh, and the sex drive thing definitely makes it easier for her.

Lastly, be thankful you have such a girlfriend. If she didn't give a **** about you, she wouldn't be making such a fuss. She's not supposed to be fine with you injecting hormones, especially with the way the media has indoctrinated her.

Goodluck!

slightly off topic but can be seen as a pro for steroids (or maybe just me). I feel far less stressed at the mo (4.5 weeks into 500mg/wk) and a lot happier and easy going. feels like the opposite or roid rage. anyone else experience this.

but i dont think my nat. test is low. i never have problems with sex drive and can gain well at a natural level. but im normally more touchy. like if the misses want to see a film and its girly, ill be like fcuk that. where as now i just say "whatever you want to do is fine" cos i genuinely dont care either way. normally i am real selfish and have an "if you dont like it then see you later attitude" (which fortunately is something my grlfriend likes about me). i've heard people say about the sense of well being on dbol but is it also true for test enanthate/sust. if it is common then it is one more thing that shane can use to convince his fiance

Hey guys

Thanks very much for all yur advice, i did exactly what you guys said, by showing her articles and saying that if she want, i will go off the stuff as she is more important, and now she is alittle at ease with the whole situation, she even said she will give me the shot.... Next time i do a cycle we will research together....

Thanks...

Well done mate for telling her but its educating them and getting them to accept that there is a need for you to start doing aas.

There is too much bad media and too many people abusing aas which gives them a bad name.
