Oats/Dextrose - 04 November 2009 22:08
My dextrose has now arrived so I'm wondering what would be the best ratio of oats/detrose to use in my post workout shake.
 
Current post workout shake:
40g whey (36g protein)
70-100g oats (50-70 carbs'ish)

 Body Weight - 75kg
Bench - 135kg
Squat - 180kg
Deadlift - 180kg

Total - 495kg

no oats and 60g dex, then 30 min later 100g oats

i'll echo that, no need for low gi carbs immediately postworkout.

although i generally have my pw shake, wait about 45 mins and just go straight into a meal with about 40g protein and 70-80g carbs

60g dex it is then. I'll add the oats in aswell if I know a meal isn't coming for a while.
