Further to your post about the Mito, one of the concerns raised was of its residual value - turns out it's pretty good: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/carreviews/grouptests/244315/premium_supermini_champs.html

For whatever reason its being reported that they will cling on to some value better than the rest, im not sure why this is but their is a set price for them acriss all the dealerships, have read about in the mainland everyone is paying the same price, wether this helps ir not I dont know, waiting for the new engine spec coming next year before I give it another thought!.

Really? The bonnet on my car is bigger than that

Dont Alfas have a dreadful breakdown rate? I always see brand new alfas on the side of the motorway with a ponytailed sad looking person on their mobile phone

That's really the reason of the entire range being changed, they have a new german manager who was brought in to sort that all out. Hence the 8c cAme out setting the genetics for all the new models.

Cu3ed,

Ever get yourself the Mito?  There's a fair few on the roads in NI now, look great in red and black.

Still not tempted by the Giulietta, got a great review: http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/Drives/Search-Results/First-drives/Alfa-Romeo-Giulietta-14-TB-170-2010-CAR-review/

...actaully I ended up I ddi have to pay for it because of warrenty and that, so it was all on paper, but I wouldnt have bothered, doubt in the case of an accident they would even look at the ECU to be honest.

it's quite interesting really, it used to be that a loss adjuster would just look for physical modding but these days I suppose it has to be a nerd with a laptop sat next to a smoking wreck.

I got a few drives of a Fiesta my parents were using while their car was getting serviced and thought it was a great car, compared very favourably - ie was comfortably more impressive than - the A3 I drove on holiday last year.
