Help! I can't whistle!

As above really, does anyone have any tips?

I'm not talking about Dr Cox style wolf whistles, just your basic whistle.

It was one of my new year's resolutions to learn how to do it, but so far I've had no joy. All the videos online seem to be about how to do fancy ones, but I can't even do a basic one! Some of my friends say I just might physically not be able to do it, but I whistled once when I was 12...

Please help, otherwise 2009 will be a failure for me!

I have never been able to whistle.
