Hazel essex_chris There was one at the end of last summer, then this one - so chances are there will be another before the year is out. When this SUC is all done I will announce a date for the next one. We hope to run two a year if it remains popular, (and I don't loose the plot sorting it all out ) Will this take into account your mental state when you start though ? My progess in SUC2010#1 has frankly not been very good so i've got a change of attack plan for the rest of the year, including any other SUC that may come along.
Awesome pic, but Tony you're not doing yourself many favours posting up tips on preventing the gag reflex and then a picture of a guy touching his toes - Ak

Has gone pretty quick but everything in my life has the past 3-6 months anyway. Tony, I would presume it is in your interest to put the photos together for direct comparison to give you the best chance!

As I have said before, we allow a few days for people to post the photos up! If I said you have to take the photos on the 29th and post them up the same day, people would complain as not everyone has 24hr access to the internet. The end of the 12 week shape-up is Monday 29th, I'm sure you will all be honest and take the photos when they should be taken. The sooner the photos are posted or emailed to me the better as I can work on the voting polls! The 4th is the latest deadline, not the day to put them up!

Just to ask members please don't post up your own shape-up finals photos in other forums apart from the shape-up. The main reason is it will get confusing and messy when the members start voting. Thanks!!

Are we allowed to PM people to prompt them to vote Hazel? A couple of well-wishers at the start of my journal may well wish to revisit on voting day but forget about it without me reminding them!!

I've seen a couple of people make gifs of pictures so they flick between the two (Tony Barnes IIRC and the female in the MuscleMag thread in General) Anyone care to give me a simple guide how to do this. Cheers.

Ok, in photoshop simply open both images, copy/paste one of them into the other as a new layer, set it's opacity to 50% so you can then adjust the size/position so that relevant things are the right size - do this by hitting CTRL+T and make sure to hold SHIFT when adjusting the bounding box to keep aspect correct. When happy with placement reset opacity to 100%, crop image so that both layers are showing correctly with no gaps, then the next step depends on age of PS: OLD PS - at the bottom of the tools panel on the left there is a button that sends to Imageready, click this, then do a 2 frame animation, just add a frame basically, then in the 2nd frame turn the top layers visibility off. Then check the optimised version, and save as a gif NEW PS - open up the animation toolbar, and do the same as above Simples....

I tend to just edit and crop the pictures down, then do a quick google for "free online animated gif creator" and use whatever pops up. Being an IT geek i really should remember a better way of doing it, but it works and is quick.

Cheers for the explanation Tony but I got as far as opening ImageReady and couldn't get it to do a animated gif of the two images. So I did what essex_chris says and tried one of the numerous free apps available to download. It didn't work as well as yours though:

Yeah definitely the alignment needs to be right. I do all that sort of cropping in a given proportion using ACDSee - it handily divides the cropped area into a 3x3 grid so you can line up say on the collar bone, or the knee, and then you end up with a pretty good lineup. Except for the photos of Tony in the dam selling his body. For that i just used a telephoto lens
