he will have been into a tyre shop that told hiim if he didnt put the specific fitment on there it will void his insurance, not strictly true. he reckons his insurance states exactly that...sounded odd when he said it but he buys the Pirelli religously

I know every fecker drives one, but a Golf is a nice motor. 5k would get you a fairly nice example also.
Neb Sounds to me like you are what I always knew you were....a worthless piece of sh1t.

The amount about and the high miles of the golf put me me off,id worry about getting a high miler that was either ready to die or low miles that had really been clocked

Neb BMW 1 series? what's your opinion? I like the look of it, always have since it's release but is it considered a woman's car? Drives well, bit tight in terms of space compared to an A3, Golf etc. Budget?

Not into the 1 series one bit. There was a big advertising campaign on the local radio here a couple years back, "YOU can drive a BMW for just .... a month", proper gash advert but it worked because every mush drives them now just because they're a Bimmer. 2002 3 series is the way forward!

My wife has had 2 x 120d. Nice cars to drive. Rewarding handling and decent performance for a shopping cart. She got rid though as it was just too small for new baby and associated paraphenalia. If my budget was 5k I would aim for a Golf but settle for an A3 or Focus.

The problem with the 1 series is this. The BMW badge means you have a small d1ck and the model shape means you're a homosexual, if that's the image you are after then crack on* *there is nothing wrong with the above I'm 50% there anyway

Wheels The 135i is a cracker. Was going to be my post too... I went for the 335 purely on looks as performance is identical iirc.
