I did 33 reps at 225 pounds. Not bad for a guy who is turning 40 years old on August 7th (tomorrow). I think I will try and see how many I can do on incline press next time I do chest. I know it should be pretty high, becasue its my favorite lift....it should in the high 20's. I will let you know.

Yes and it looked relatively easy too, there is definately 50+ in there!

I on the other hand did a measly 10 or so, but it was comfortable, the first bit of benching i have done in ages but it was fun, i may try again soon, maybe i'll get 15-20.

17 reps.not a big fan of the bench press myself, prefer dumbells.
my best pound for pound was many years ago.incline bench with 110lbs bumbells,,i weighed 180lbs at the time and got 14 reps..many years back got 10 reps with 100lb dumbells on the same at 154lbs..was happy with that back then.regards, rich

There are some great lifts there, I would be interested to see how much some of you guys can do with 60kgs? On 225 I believe Ronnie Coleman did 75 or so at the arnold classic a few years back!

ATM - I'd get between 20-30 at 220. Max is currently 495. On 60kgs I've done 56.

I take it this is benching with free weights and not on one of those bench machines.
I can do 5 at 100kg free weight and 10 on a machine, whimp aint I. oh Im 210lb as well, so that makes me a fat wimp, LOL.

I did 225lbs 27 times before I would have sacrificed form; so I stopped there. My stats are below.

*edit* can only moderators have custom avatars? am just curious, because I have a few images I'd like to use if at all possible. If not, no worries. *edit*

I did eight and will crack twelve by crimbo with luck. Tried it on the decline bench thinking I'd do less but it was just the same. Which angle is normally strongest, incline, decline or flat?

Well guys haven't done too much lifting lately as I've been pretty much focused on training for boxing the last few months...weight has dropped from 189lbs to my current weight of 165lbs, I've lost muscle as well as fat as I wasn't training at all. Gave the 100kg bench a go today as I've been lifting again the last few weeks to try and gain power and I managed 2 reps lol. It will improve!

I know this is for 225 lbs...but...now IM trying to see how many reps I can do for 315 lbs. I did 315 for 17 reps...I could have done another 1-3 reps, but I had no spotter. Shooting for 315 x 23 reps come the end of the year.
I have not tried the repping out 225 lbs in a couple months now, I know it has increased.

225 bench is very good for someone who just turned 17. believe me, your bench will go up alot the next couple of years! When I was your age(23 years ago), we did not have this mega info you have today with the internet. I worked out 6 days a week for years, because thats what Arnold did, and most of the champs. Things have changed. You should grow quicker than I did when i was your age.`

OK, I got 8 yesterday on my last set with 102.5 kg. I was after 2x5, so I was a little tired.

Reckon I'm good for 12 easy. I'll try it (with a spotter) in a few weeks.

I tried 100kg for the first time today and did 5 reps (spotter helped a bit the last 2). I normally train alone and use the dumbells, but I thought I would give the bench a try today as I had some help.

Still not a lot compared to others but I was pleased with it
