220lbs is 100kg isnt it? if so i'll stick by my prediction of 8-12 during my warmup i hit 100 for 6 so i reckon i could get at least 8

great idea is any one going to sort out a league table? just my view but any top 3 spot should be video verified (if you can do it once in training you should be able to get within a rep or 2 when a video is on) here is me doing 29reps http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6Rykw3P_uE

some pretty good numbers on there, I doubt I could push out more than 12-15 at my best, and now I would get 6-8 max.

Pro footballers get in the 30-40+ range every year at some contest for reps with 225lbs/102.05kg So I can believe 50+ is doable..touch and go of course

Haven't got access to a bench at the moment but think I'd struggle to get more than 10.

I have done 21. It was back at the time when riottraining held a contest of this type. They were all touch and go reps.

Well done, that man! Out of interest (and I'm not asking this to cast aspersions on your achievement - it is genuine interest!), does your backside stay on the bench during your leg drive? It is difficult to ascertain from the data available.

lol ill be honest and say on afew of the last ones i was aware my arse was not touching the bench! my bench is getting sloppy! My body always moves when i bench but most of the time the back side still stays touching the bench. next bench session im going to wear my singlet and get a side video! need to make sure my ass is down or ill get red flagged!

just t next bench session im going to wear my singlet and get a side video! need to make sure my ass is down or ill get red flagged! It's worthwhile - not for training reps to failure like this, but to make sure that training practice doesn't engender unfortunate habits in competition. Do you have a friend with some knowledge of judging who could ascertain whether the amount of contact satisfies current regs? I suspect that any degree of movement approaching that in your vid (even if the backside didn't leave the bench) might be looked upon askance by a critical IPF judge - but with a tighter arch for a single, I imagine that there would be less movement anyway. BTW, FWIW: No matter how much I lifted my arse and bounced, I still couldn't get that many reps!

As a new member to the 100kg club myself i'm proud to announce a maximum of 5 reps. I then proceeded to roll off the bench into a quivering mess. lol.

not really had a go at this but we sometimes do 20 with a 100kg after doing some heavy benching. strangest thing is if you do a few with 150-180kg then drop back to the 100kg it feels so light you can rep out easy but if you do the 100kg on the way up rather than on the way down it seems a lot harder, maybe just me!

most I have done is 2 reps before, I reckon I might (wind blowing and all that) be able to get 3 if I just did a warmup.

For anyone who has stuck at a certain weight, i was like that @ 95k. Instead of trying to do more reps at 95 I added some weight and got a spotter and went for more weight and fewer reps. Now without a spotter I can rep 10 @ 100k and 6@ 110k... only about 5 or 6 weeks later. My problem is shoulder press, but im employin the same technique and getting there. but 50+!! thats just immense

monsterben do u now when next comp is ,mate This is an online comp. You do as many reps as you can with 100k then post your score, preferably with a vid, here.

Rather deadlifts - if bounced bench presses are bad enough, I dread to think what depth of 'squat' would be submitted... Perhaps 180-200kg for DL? Or 2 x BW?
