I wrote a far more ironic version of your (FKaOG) comment yesterday, but refrained from posting as it might be deemed too inflammatory...

jocktheglide does high repping at a certain weight correlate to a max? For example this site saids that if you do 225 for 15 your max rep is 332 so does that mean if you do 30 reps at 225 you have a 664? Then so on? I did 225 for 9 at a bodyweight of 175lbs (gained 5lbs though recently so 180lbs) and the chart was pretty consisent with my repping I did 295lbs. Just wondering what you guys think about high repping correlating with 1 rep max. Oh, here is the website: http://www.joeskopec.com/repmax.html I doubt if it does Jock but its an interesting hypothesis.

go to place with bench and weights load up 100kg or 220lbs of weight, lay on bench, make the weight touch chest, and lockout, and see how many repetitions you can get

sivvy1 make the weight touch chest, and lockout I.e. stricter than multi-ply lifting...

Only the one, then I needed oxygen.

I mean if your doing 180kgx30 then you 1RM is gona be good, but that's about all you can infer really. At the end of the day why do you need a chart when you can easly got out and find you max!

I have to do the 100kg max rep test for American Football. I currently do 17 reps. Got friends you beat the hell out of me on it. I think the record for the NFL combine is over 40 reps. No bouncing etc allowed.

For those who have high 1RM's its more a case of time endurance than strength in any real sense. Most good pressers will get around the same with 100kg as 90kg or 110kg as their strength wont really be a major factor in their fatigue. Who gives a **** how many reps you can do anyways? Its 1RM's that count ;)

I'm off from uni at the minute so have no training partner but will get a video up asap! Won't be anything out of the ordinary though i imagine! Never went beyond 8-10 for reps but can manage 100kg no probs at all. And on the topic of nfl combine, some of the videos ive seen of the 220lb bench press are def of the bouncing variety. Just my opinion.

I tried this once last year cos a guy i know said if i could rep 100kg for 15 then i'd get one with 3 plates... So i diligently went in every week and after a few months got 15 reps with 2 plates...next week i put the 3 plates on and couldn't get a rep lol.. Damn i was frustrated!!! i think a lot depends on ur form and i was clearly bouncing the bar off my chest so not really training the muscle properly.
