Not so much a legs day as usual. I played squash with my dad for an hour and a half beforehand and then did : Squats 5, 5, 5 @ 105kg, 5 @ 107kg, 5 @ 110kg!! Weighted sit-ups 13, 13, 13 @ 25kg plates on chest

Push day Shoulder press 5, 5, 5 @ 52kg, 5, 4 @ 55kg Close grip bench 5, 5, 5, 4!!, 5 @ 65kg Decided not to try the last two sets at 67kg today for fear of hurting myself as I did quite well on the shoulder press Peck deck 5, 5 @ 90kg, 5, 5, 4 @ 92kg

Last pull day at the gym on the Isle Of Lewis, next it's a legs day with proper oly bars in Glasgow!! Smith rows 5, 5, 5, 5 @ 102kg, 4 @ 105kg Supine curl 5, 5, 5, 5, 4 @ 35kg Shrugs 5, 5, 5, 4, 4 @ 102kg My grip started to fail for the last two sets, hopefully that will improve when I get back down to Glasgow. However I'm expecting my weights to drop so I can correct any form difficulties and get used to using better equipment again once there, but I'm looking forward to it!!

Back to the gym in Glasgow (thank gawd!!) and it was a pull day Deadlifts 5 @ 85kg, 5 @ 90kg, 5, 5 @ 95kg, 5 @ 100kg!! I finally broke that 100kg barrier! Was feeling my way back into my deadlift, making sure my form didn't suffer as I increased the weight to one I knew would test me, going to start with 95kg next week for the first 2 sets, then move up. Bent over d/bell rows 5, 5 @ 38kg, 5, 5, 5 @ 40kg in each arm Will start with 40kg next time Hammer curls 5, 5, 5, 5, 4 @ 20kg in each arm

Still feeling my way back into things, checking my form...plus I was a bit hungover on todays push Shoulder press 5, 5, 5, 5, 5 @ 45kg Proper oly bar, woohoo!! Dumbell bench 5, 5, 5 @ 26kg d/bell, 5, 5 @ 28kg Going to hit the 28's again next time for the full 5x5 Close grip bench 5, 5 @ 65kg, 5, 4, 4 @ 67kg

Good push day Shoulder press 5, 5, 5 @ 45kg, 5, 5 @ 47kg Dumbell bench 5, 5 @ 26kg, 5, 5 @ 28kg, 5 @ 30kg on each arm Close grip bench 5, 5, 5, 5, 5 @ 65kg Felt pretty tired after the hard work on the other to exercises so decided not to kill myself by going for 67.5 kg on the last two sets this time!

Amazing pull day, well chuffed! Deadlifts 5, 5 @ 97kg, 5, 5 @ 100kg, 5 @ 102.5kg!! Dumbell rows 5, 5, 5, 5 @ 40kg, 5 @ 42kg in each arm! Supine curl 5, 5, 5, 5 @ 35kg, 5 @ 37.5kg I'm really pleased that I keep progressing like this, hopefully it will continue!

I'm going to start updating this journal more often with the cardio that I do outside of the gym. Yesterday 40mins squash, very intense. My legs felt this the most and my hams were aching all night. Today 2hrs 4v4 short court basketball games. 10min games were pretty intense and again I'm feeling it in my legs, hams in particular and my shoulders. Made lots of lay-ups and a couple of 3's so pretty pleased. Got an hour of training tommorrow as well which I am not looking forward to, need to make up the cals!

Good push day Shoulder press 5, 5, 5 @ 45kg, 5, 5 @ 47.5kg Totally corrected my form and didn't move my feet at all to help get the weight up, I'm very happy with this!! Dumbell bench 5, 5 @ 28kg, 5, 5, 5 @ 30kg dumbells Close grip bench 5, 5 @ 65kg, 5, 5 @ 67kg, 5 @ 70kg I'm really impressed by the way I've been progressing over the past fortnight, no idea what it is but I'm loving it!!

2 hours of basketball training tonight. My arms are aching, especially my triceps as the coach made us do 15 pressups every time we missed a set shot, lay-up or if the ball hit the floor when going for a rebound...ouch! Hopefully I'll recover enough to get to the gym tommorrow morning!

Noticed you are skipping the legs day more and more.What gives? Also,do you train with another Mt member called wushu?Just a curiosity. Your deads are coming along nicely btw

I know, I'm trying to find a day where to fit it in as I train Monday, Friday and Saturday for basketball! I think it may end up having to be Sunday if I don't play squash on that day but then there's the issue of recovery for Monday...hrm! I used to train with Wushu over the summer, not anymore though as I'm back in Glasgow now and he's in Abertay. Thanks for looking in, hopefully I'll get a push day out 2nite!
