Did you ever get Ironmind' Stronger Minds, Stronger Body book (something like that).

That was an interesting read. I love that psychology stuff, so important when you're trying to move forward.

Any insights to share?

i got
the mental edge kenneth baun
mind gym (not much use)
ironmind stronger minds stronger bodies (good read)

lots of things to go on in them, like always finishing on a positive lift, association with a good session, breathing techniques, focus the mind, clearing the mind, how to turn negative into positive thoughts..

Nice. I think they're great to read, but such a hard topic to talk about (for me at least) because motivation is so unique to the person.

I think one of the most important things I was ever told was, by this guy on the old HGRT forum. He said he never attempts a weight he thinks he can't get.

At first I thought it was a bit of a cop-out, but i realised what he actually was saying was he always knows he's going to get it!

Having that kind of confidence is always the goal for me.

legs tonight, another humid night in the gym

squats 2 warm ups with the bar

triples at 60kg,80kg,100kg,120kg,140,160kg single at 180kg

the single was easy which was a bit of a shock so quite suprised, got my starting point for next week warm ups then it will be 5 sets 3 reps on the 160kg adding 2.5-5kg a side each week....

time to revive this old training log......

As the date has shown i have not trained properly since my last entry in this journal, had a lot of probs over this last year or so (dad had cancer and work related) but now have things clear, a new outlook on life, a re newed training enthusiasim, and most of all dedication have come back, got no idea what i am weighting in at, but bf% is very low, hardly any fat at all, i will this time keep a concious effort to keep this journal going, for my own satisfaction as well as tracking my progress, still have the comp in mind for my fourtieth but one year less to do it in, joining the gym from tomorrow onwards (buying a years ticket, so there wont be any pulling out) so if anyone wants to add comments feel free
...

Hi mate,

I'm sorry to hear what you have gone through the past year. I hope that things will start to get better for you. You have a great a online family that will support you no end.

I noticed that you're still training at muscle limits from a couple of older posts. I've been thinking of going to Monster's in Cheshunt to train.

How are Kev and Ozzy these days?

i wanna curl up and die......

good workout thou, gonna be in a bad shape tommorow....

decline bench warmed up with the bar 2 sets 6 reps 60kg
2 sets 4 reps 100kg tri`s are the weak link here, so will see how well they respond...

militry press 3 sets 6 reps 50kg
flyes 4 sets 10reps with the 30`s
dips, 60kg on the dipping maching 3 sets 8 reps...

delts and tri`s are cained, chest was pumped, felt good to get back to things so will see how i can get passed these dismal weights now...

the best outlook was that i got a years membership at the gym for £225 (£19 a month, bargin)
