Thanks alot mate! Yeah the program is awesome! i think alot of it is down to the quantity of grub i am consuming! i am a bit worried that the scales are gonna have shot up again this week, lol. If so i will have to evaluate as i dont wanna gain too much lard!

Good work on the DB bench - nothing better (gym wise) than going up another postion on the dumbell rack.

Cheers wogihao!

Had another good session today, not at my usal gym as i am at the world rowing champs. Went to castle gym in windsor which is cool, quite different from my usal gym, more hardcore with alot of BIG guys in there! Felt like a bloody twig, lol

I will post up weights tomorrow as i forgot to take my log book to the internet cafe

weights were up again which is encouraging, just feeling fat at the mo! which is very disheartening, lol. But i am determined to get some muscle!

Tom

Got my log book out so will post up yesterdays routine.

heavy day
squat 5x5
60kg
65kg
75kg
80kg
82.5kg

bench 5x5
18kg db's
20kg db's
22kg db's
24kg db's
26kg db's

powerclean 5x5
40kg
45kg
47.5kg
50kg
52.5kg

hypers 2x8
20kg
20kg

crunches... i started but somehow managed to chip my tooth so stopped and had a protein shake instead

squat - these felt pretty easy, may try going up a bit more than 2.5% for the triple on medium day!

bench - delighted with the old benching at the moment tis improving well. 2 weeks or so ago when i began this program it looked like this... 16kg, 18kg, 18kg, 20kg, 22kg now to this...18kg, 20kg, 22kg, 24kg, 26kg

powerclean - used an olly bar for these for the first time and think i will continue to do so, just for convenince of knowing the weight really.

Been eating like a man possesed today has not been as clean as usal as i am with family in london, but not too bad. Chest feels bigger but other than that have not notived any big changes....still early days yet though.

Thanks man! yeah they are going up nicely at the moment...just hope i can keep it that way!

ice, seeing how you are the man in the know when it comes to routines, i have a q for u!

I noticed murphey changed the set/rep paramaters for a while on his routine, i think it changed to something like 6x6, 5x10, 12x2, was this just for a change or a plateau buster type thing, should this only be considered after a good while on the good old 5x5?

thanks mate

it was something i suggested when he was stuck in a rut for quite a while, but to be honest I think you should do those sort of rep schemes of 2x25, 3x10, 4x12, etc a few times every 8 weeks or so, it will be good for your mind and a good break for your joints on something such as 5x5
