This morning i stupidly agreed to go on a "short" bike ride with my uncle round london, which soon escalated into a full blown "tour de london" and involved going up "the steepest hill in london." Mind you it was quite fun .... at times. Biked round regents park, camden, hampstead heath, kings cross, and some other areas i cant remember. Returned to there house and had one hell of a second breakfast

Weekly weight upday!

5/08/06 - 62kg
12/08/06 - 64kg
19/08/06 - 64.5kg
27/08/06 - 65kg hooray, up up and away

This measurment may be slightly innacurate as the scales in the gym had me on about 67kg...so who knows, but any way it is up.

Off to mauritius 2moro with a wee stop off in dubai on the way home. Will keep you updated, if i find a comp to use

chow for now!

Hi guys! Greetings from mauritius! tis awesome here the climate is great around 26 degrees c, which is nice and comfortable!

Hotel is also brill, i discovered the gym it has is actually a ace wee local iron gym! Bloody squat rack and the works! I know you all saying enjoy your holiday and rest etc.. but i cant resist

Bascially i have been carrying on whith the bill starr routine and chilling and enjoying the food which is AMAZING, every morning and night there is a buffet with local dishes which always consist of tuna steaks, marlin, chicken, beef etc... The salads are also amazing loads of lentils and beans! As a birthday treat my parents got me a load of Lobster which is lovely aswell!

Cant wait to see how much the old weight has gone up

The culture here is also awesome its a mixture of indian, french, chinese and creole. Which is prob why the food is so diverse etc... On thursday were going to dubai for a few days then home

Cant wait to see dubai, prob gonna melt though, not used to that kinda heat, lol.

untill next time...

Thanks guys! tis lovely and yeah, rather heavenly! it does rain a little most days at this time of year though, but the showers are very localised and short. 34 - 42 sounds hot enough for me lol! I dont cope too well when its really hot, it saps my energy something rotten! lol

workouts are going really well at the moment, currently i get up have some oat based cereal, some protein and bananas (they are quite small here) then go for my wrkout, then make my way back to the buffet for some eggs, toast, beans and rice, lol

The weights are going up still but i am unsaure exactly what i am lifting as the gym only has normal bb's but this morning i deadlifted the norm bar with 90kg on it, so i must be getting close to 100kg

I think bbing may be quite popular over here as every pharmacy, convenience store and supermarket stocks protein powders galore! Mind you i have not seen anyone who looks like they workout much.

Yo ice! im heading to dubai tonight, will be getting there early 2moro! That would be awesome as i am pretty unsure of what to expect to be honest. A visit to mall of the emirates is on the to do list, and did you mention a desert safari? that may be cool! I am only there for 3 days, so there is a limit to how much i can do

On another note todays session was good, i took the squat weight down slightly as i felt i was sacraficing my ROM for bigger and bigger weights. So now it is back to proper assto grass squats

I also disocverdi am in catered halls at uni, which i am unsure how to feel about! The catering was of a very high standard when i visited and the menus do look quite good, just not always the best bbing food (which i am used too will see how it goes.

Tom

cool bro, mall of emirates for sure, if you're into games etc, go up to magic planet its the 3rd floor of mall of the emirates. Desert safari 150% you have to do. Your hotel should have a desk which will set it up. If you have time, you can ask your hotel to take you to Hatta to go do some quad biking. Y'know where your hotel is?

Cheers man! I have not idea of the name of the area but its the marco polo hotel, its kinda close to the reef mall if that helps. Yeah i have been speaking to the guy at the desk about stuff, the only problem is my parents are not keen todo sum stuff i want too and alot of them want you to have a minimum number of ppl.

If i were going to buy a laptop (apple macs) which area or mall would be best? i was surprised at emirates today as alot of electrical stuff was not really much cheaper than at home.

Tonight i went to nasser square in search of laptops, but must have gone in the wrong direction ended up wandering around aimlessly sweating for a good hour or so i just cant believe the heat here, tis so much hotter than anything i have experienced before

cheers mate!

ps. there are some scales in the hotel bathroom and i weighed in at ............ drum roll please............
67kg whichi thik is the heaviest i have ever been, but more importantly is around a 2kg improvement over my last weigh in around 2 weeks ago.

Apples arent going to be that much cheaper mate as the Apples they sell here are the UK versions. If you want cheap non-apples laptops, check out Carrefour (which is in most malls) or check out Al-Sharaf electronics in Ibn Battuta Mall, there's also computer square in Bur Dubai, but mind you, you will have to walk a lot outdoors.

Hey mate! Well im just back from a desert safari! left my mum at the hotel and took my dad. The dune bashing is awesome! was fairly sure we were gonna tip at some points! so cheers for the heads up on that. I may also try to squeeze ina fishing trip before i depart

Thanks for the info on laptops, have made a note of it!

In the ghetto Always thought if i ever ventured into a ghetto i would not leave it alive. semeed like quite a nice ghetto - compared to others i have seen on telly.

Your def right about some of the architecture here, its unreal! had a cool trip around the Jumeriah (i think) area and saw some amasing buildings including the Burj al arab and burj dubai, which is gonna be amazing when its finished

Went to another mall today aswell the Al ghuriar city and made friends with the guy in the supps shop who was trying to fog me this enormous tup of powder meanwhile me desperatly trying to explain that it will not go in my suitcase

Also with reference to the weight gain, i jumped on the scales this morning to check if it was the same on empty and its bloody not it more like about 65 - 65.6 kg. Will be alright once i get home and can get a sort of plan going !

Tom
