Mentally i'm fine and alert, lifts haven't changed, but unfortunately neither has my weight since the initial water loss.

Quite a shock realising how low i've had to drop my input but i'm hopeful for some progress this week.

Thats really good buddy!

are you lifts going up or just remaining the same?

All the same at the moment give or take a few kg's - i took 2 weeks out over easter when i was at home from uni when i started cutting so i came back a little deconditioned. Most lifts are back where they were though, except DL's which are way off but i've got form to work on over weight

Going to start conciously microloading where possible now, with carbs and stimulants (if used) timed around workouts i don't see much reason why my lifts should suffer at the moment!

Some nice dipping you got going on there - i wish my gym had better bars so i could actually add some weight onto mine.

Thats cool! sound well planned too. How long do you plan to cut for?

Thanks! Our dipping station is kinda like this

Its good as it lets you have a very individual width of grip because of the V shape.

Tom

I've got a family hol at the end of July so i'm hoping to come in a similar/better condition than last year (obviously with more mass!) which gives me 14/15 weeks to go. I think last year i finished up around 175 or so, so ideally i'd like 180-185 with better condition.

All in an ideal world of course

lol sounds like fun... i was always one of "those people" who left coursework till last minute, although it was only GCSE and A-level stuff so wasnt that hard to blitz in an evening.
i remember staying up and doing all my statistic coursework in one night, never felt so "frazzled" after spending 8.5 hours buried in a speadsheet.

Hope you managed to get it all done.

Lol, im not usually "one of those" tbh i usually start things well in advance because i hate the stress of leaving it late. This was the exception due to the fact i lived it up over easter and did NO work.

I hate stats! i had it this am infact. I am almost complete now! in desperate need of shopping too, ive been eating flax seeds, o3 caps and whey for the last few hours.

Tomorrow = rest

Harsh! its really crap. Was it you own fault for leaving it rack or did you just get short notice?

Hi, no updates for a bit as the council cut our internet cable the other day when doing road works.

my life grounded to a halt, had no idea what to do.

Reminds me of the south park episode where the internet goes down and everybody has to be in refugee camps.

Anyway trained today

1 leg leg curls
GHR
Lunges
roll outs

pretty decent.

HOWEVER...

I am getting a big hankering to quit bbing (not that i really train that much like bber anyway) adn focus on olympic lifting. I wouldnt hesitate about changing if it was not for my dodgey back.

hm...........

Tut tut Tom, leaving your uni work till the last minute

Hows your course going? (i think it was something sports science related? I remember you talking about multiple wingates before )

3 weeks time and it's gonna be absolute hell, 2 coursework deadlines, presentation and a practical exam in 5 days, i might cry

Yeah i know mate! its not like me as i usually start everything early because i hate stress.

Was too lazy and nocturnal over easter to do it then though

Course is ok, cant decide whether i really love it or if i would have rather done architecture. TBH im not sure wether i will end up going into this field of work or something else but still slightly related. Do you know what you want to do?

I have been offered a placement for my 3rd year with an eng firm in abdn but im not sure about it tbh. Part of me just wants to finish.

It sports engineering, so designing/testing/improving equipment.

cheers guys

Tom

Ah yeah that was it.

I'm still not really sure what i want to do with mine. Part of me wants to do a masters in my course (Sports science), another part something in sports injuries & rehab, another in nutrition.

Ideally i'd love to do something in physiotherapy and rehab but these days its so grossly oversubscribed i don't know if its worth it.

Hey Carl! I use a supinated grip (palms facing) at around shoulder width.

I've never found wide pronated grip chins comfortable.

Hey buddy!

Things are going ok, i am stressing big time though, lol. Psoraisis is BAD atm (well if it is actually psoraisis, docs not sure)

Ive been maiing a device to measure tenison in a tennis net and detect a let, its a bit of a mess atm and needs housing.

When i get stressed i seem to fall apart, lol.

anyhoo

Yeah i should still be up the last weekend in may for the boss! will give you an email once i know more!

Little training update

hit a two new pb's in the last week.

90kg overhead (not strict) x1
100kg decling cgbp x2

As most of you prob know i dont use low reps very often, they are fun though.

Well done on the PB's mate!!!

Also, what king of strain gauge/ tension system are you using for the let system???? (Kinda do this stuff for my job but on steel)

Cheers mate!

theyre def not big numbers but i've not gone below 8reps for over i year i think. Im also an awful "pusher"

Its a tension load cell we bought, We were going to make our own with strain gauges but i believe this can be a bit of a hassle setting up properly and we wanted to use minimal electronics.

To detect the let were just using a simple vibration sensor. http://hk.farnell.com/732795/industrial-controls-automation/product.us0?sku=assemtech-ms24
