Thanks again ! - hopefully after another visit to the chiropractor I can launch into my new routine

as said, post this idea in the female section, possibly the routine section, include as much details as possible and see what reaction you get, takee the information brek it down then work with whats best for you.

I and others will no doubt pop in from time to time on here to see how your doing, im quiet enjoying some of these journals so far, so once again goodluck.

Not been able to start my new routine yet, still suffering a little so gonna take it easy for the next few weeks, I do have some measurements though .. Had a reassment at the Gym today so have some BF% results ( I know they aren't 100% accurate so maybe someone could look at my pics and tell me if they are a good ballpark figure ? )

Stats as of 4th of June BF% : 21.9
Today : BF% : 21.3

A little drop so I'm quite happy with that

Have also been measuring myself with a tape measure periodically

1st Measure on 28th of May

Bust - 34"
Waist - 28"
Hips - 36"
Thighs - 22.5"

Last Measure as of 25th of July

Bust - 34"
Waist - 25.5"
Hips - 34"
Thighs - 22"

Today

Bust - 34"
Waist - 25"
Hips - 33.5"
Thighs - 21.5"

Nice steady drop there although you can see where my problem area is

Hopefully will have some more progress to report soon

Had another session with the Chriopractor on Wed, feeling a hell of a lot better

Going to start on the weights next week but take it easy and avoid training my shoulders & back for a little while

Not going to do my classes but will just do the swimming, hopefully I can ease myself into it gently until I'm back to full health

Hi welshy, there's a real difference in the two pics.Amazing what a 10 pound drop can do.My missus wants to start a journal but she's a wee bit timid.
You're a brave lass posting pics.Hopefully it'll inspire my better half to start a journal.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks for all your messages of support

reg, I moved from Swansea to Braintree just over a year ago so I'm still quite new to the area and when you get older it's so hard to make friends :/

I have one friend now but she's not into fitness at all lol

Starting on the weights tonight, will take it easy though - and then do some swimming tomorrow !

Ooh all the best for tonight Welshy Let us know how you get on and take it easy to start with.

Are you working at the mo in Essex? It is hard moving away, I found the same when I first came down to London. Most of my social circle was amongst work colleagues (some of whom are still my closest friends now 6 years later) it does take a while just don't dwell on it.
And for the record none of my female friends are really into training/weights/fitness either. That's what we girlies have mt for

Thanks Lisa

I'm so excited about getting going tonight !!

I've just started a new job and my 1 friend is from my last job lol, I normally get on well with colleagues but I find because you're working together you then don't really tend to socialise very much because you've already spent 8 hours chatting ! .. Now I'm in a new job we're keeping in touch though I do get on really well with all my boyfriend's friends but I guess I just kinda see them as his friends as opposed to mine

I'm so addicted to this place

Yeah understand you completely, but it will come in time. A couple of social events and before you know it you've been pished in front of your colleagues and drunkenly told them how much you love working with them - bonds that will never be broken

I do think you tend to work more at the friendships that matter once you're not worknig together, as you say cos you're not together 8 hours a day!

Off to train myself now or I'll never leave the office Enjoy mate!

Well I eased myself into it gently and did some lifting tonight..... get ready to laugh at the weights !

Bent Over Rows, 15Kg 8*3
SL Deadlifts 15kg 8*3
BB Curl 8kg 8*3

I TRIED to do some pullups as well but failed miserably, couldn't even get a quater of the way there lol, was thinking of changing my BB curls to 5*5 unless someone can think of a different exercise I could do for my biceps ?

I'm working on a 2 day split

Mondays or Tuesdays :

Back/Shoulders/Biceps

Fridays :
Legs/Chest/Triceps

I missed out my shoulders tonight because I've still got a whiplash injury and was advised by my chiropractor to leave them out for a few weeks

I'm so gonna be aching tomorrow, 1st exercise for the best part of a month !

Yeah we've noticed, even hittin the general section lol... keep it up.

Dont worry about the weights just yet, get your form, get used to the excercise and the rest will fall into place.

Sure wor Lisa will keep you on track to.

Infact... Lisa.... when you gonna start a similar training regime, could be some good motivation for the 2 of you, a mini MT comp

I've got more posts than my boyfriend and he's been on here since July 2004 ! lol oops !

I'm quite pleased with my form, I'm pretty sure I've got that ok since I'm used to doing the exercises in Body Pump, albeit with a light weight

I don't think I did toooo bad with the weights seeing as I've done nothing for about a month and also taking it easy with my injuries

I like the sound of a mini competition .. hahaha !!! what do ya reckon Lisa ?

Funny, I was actually gonna quote Welshy's training post and say that I'm looking to follow something along those lines, starting this week! Following Kitty's recommendation for a 2 day split I'd like to give it a try. Really wanting to drop the weights right down but have been so inconsistent through most of this year I kinda need to start afresh.

Not likely to get a journal out of me, couldn't handle the scrutiny from you guys But yep I'll be popping in here to see how it's going Welshy and may even add my own little sly post and let you know if I finally get back on track.

Now back in your box mrsut

Glad to see you’re still making head way in spite of your injuries! Keep it up and I hope the whiplash sorts itself out!
