Welshy - I think that if you take time and cash to invest in yourself with something like a nutritionist written diet, then you will have the incentive to stick to it. I would say upwards of 80% of my comp prep was dependent on the diet.....if I couldn't fuel my workouts, they wouldn't happen!
Plus, as I have said before... James actually worked out cheaper than my crisps and flumps I was consuming on a daily basis....so everyones a winner!

Thanks ladies, I really do think it's the diet that's letting me down... I'm training as hard as I can and not missing a session unless I REALLY have to !
Got a bonus coming this month hopefully so will see what it is and take it from there
Had an upper session with my PT today... he made me run LOTS and damn well beasted my shoulders ! 
He's re-done my upper routine and is gonna re-do my legs ready for next week, not seen them yet but he has upped my monday 5K jog to 8k 
Evil git !

Wohooo for hugs !
I don't mind at all, I pay £10 for 30 min boxing/circuit sessions and £25 for 1 hour training sessions.
Worth every penny IMO - Richard has totally changed my way of thinking on training and has got me addicted ! He keeps an eye on me in the gym when I'm training on my own so I don't feel like I'm only getting his help when I pay him

Hey Elsa ! Nice to see you in here !
Good advice about the food ... a lot of the time, when I don't eat right it's down to pure lazyness and lack of preparation !!!
Still seriously thinking about seeing James for a meal plan, will see how much of a bonus I get this month
I did my 5K fasted jog this morning in record time ! ... 36:15 ! WOHOO !!! .. Richard was at the gym this morning and kept chatting to me and kept me going and putting my speed up 
He's upped my Monday jog to 8k !! ... not looking forward to that, I think it will be harder on me mentally than physically but if I want rid of this flub I gotta put the effort in.

Very reasonable rate for a PT imo.Ditto whats been said about diet, too huge a part to be letting that pull all your efforts down.

He's awesome, I never get an hour's session with him - it always goes over !!
He always checks up on me and encourages me when I'm just working out as well, like this morning, he was chatting to me and pushing me all through my run

Is he nutritionally qualified, most of the PT's ive worked with had quals in this area and would right up diets for their clients.
Thanx for the vote of confidance on the pic, i so miss my mohawk at times.It was a lot more colourfull than that most of the time but black seemed apt for the occasion.There BBC 6.o'clock news footage of me in all my colourfull glory.Think on that footage it was mainly purple and the dreadlocks were much longer.Dont ask why i was on the news, its a long story but everyone has there moments fame

He's given me basic advice on my diet but he's not qualified :/
I really need someone to TELL me what to eat rather than ADVISE I think
Purple is a good colour, I had my hair half purple/half black and half shaved once

Oh gosh, old haircut piccies!!! Will post me in my Carol Decker phase if I have the guts!!!
Welshy, agree that you need someone who is qualified to sort out a diet plan for you if that is the way you will be able to stick to it! I do need direct instruction myself otherwise I tend to wander off and do my own thing!
If you have the cash, then I can honestlysay that a nutritionist specialising in this kind of thing is a worthwhile investment.
