right firstly this is a ''beginner'' comp/expo

so i'd like to show the newbies how to get into the whole event/comp structure not kill'em
i thought something along the lines of ; log or axle , yoke , farmers , arm over arm drag or with harness, stones [x1 weight stone for reps onto plattform]

my lightest tyre is 440kg !! , an my stones at present are 90kg,140,150,160,170,240

Hi,

I have been offline for a couple of months and missed the rebirth of this thread. I would love to come but am going through a divorce at the minute so my training is way off.

If you do an event later in the year then let me know.

Cheers
John

Supersparks, it was nice to see you both today and good to see you get stuck in. Now that you've tried things like the Log and stones etc, take the lessons you've learnt from doing those events today and work had on those weaknesses in the gym. Stones really work the posterior chain hard, good things to try for stones?? Front squats, zerchers, maybe get hold of an army surplus bag and load it with sand or gravel and practice bear-hugging it and squat with it. For log, axle etc work hard on your technique like a good leg-drive, and work hard on getting that bar/log over your head, and work on your lockout strength.

See you next Saturday,

Chalky
