I should be up for it as well, plus the opportunity of meeting Drab4 can't be passed up

Well if your going Ross the Boss it'd be rude for me not to, so count me in.

Cut off point will be 30 of you guys im afraid as I will struggle to find a venue to hold more than this and dont want to have to start telling poeple there is no room once they are set to come.

Had a bit more response already than i anticaipated TBH as half the users on here are not even home from work!

17 places left guys get in while you can!!!!!!!!!!

Thinking along the lines of 3 heats of 10 people, top 3 in each group going through to the final of 9 people.

Obviously everyone can use equiptment at there lesuire but would be fun to have a mini comp

Wow Im very impressed that so many people are up for the event!

Maby if we all chiped in a few quid each we could put it towards some trophies/medals theres a place near where I work that would give us a decent discount. maby about a £10 entry fee would cover the cost of the venue ect..

Personally I'm just wearing a belt but I'd say wear what you want. Belts are definitely helpful for some events. Never used an erector shirt, but I saw a girl in a nice shirt the other day that could quite accurately be described as an erector shirt!

PLEASE NOTE: TO MAKE IT FAIR FOR THOSE JUST TRYING THERE HAND AT IT - BELTS ARE ONLY EQUIPTMENT ALLOWED. THINK THAT FAIR GUYS??

EDIT: AND CHALK

WOGI -see what happens mate, equiptment is sorted already and yes im on the trophy already leave it to me

TBH if we could get enough weights together between us we could slip someone a bung for use of a field/fair sized car park etc. Worst ways im sure everyone will club in a tenner and hire out a hall or something together.

if it is down south west thats about a 6 hour drive for me so if anyone could suggest a cheap place to crash my head near the location then that would be great as i dint think id have the energy for getting there, bursting my b0ll0cks and getting home again the same day.

Mate I can put you up for the night although you may (read: will) get dragged out to the pub (depends what day it is)!

No problem, I appreciate that. Just wondered if it was a possibility. What's going to be used for the loading event? Barrels?

I'd also like to voluteer to help transport stuff if you need a hand and I might even have a car by then! I'm in S.Devon so prob about an hour in the can to N.Devon.

Wouldnt have happened without the creation of a great forum ( thats muscletalk guys ). Thanks to James,Jason all the mods and all of you ruffians that frequent this place

Also to everyone offering help with equiptment, loading, ref etc etc.

Little things like this and a willingness from everyone to muck in make this the best board around

Plenty of open space up that way im sure. Once I have a FULL list of members coming ( wont take long at this rate ) I will do the ringing round/bribery etc.

Barnstable has a big undercover market area, but I think there might be cost issues. carpark sounds like a good idea, theres plenty of decent pubs round that way. Just have to make sure nobody gets lost on the trip down.

I think Tom would be the authority on drinking holes as its his home town, looking forward to the devon Cider... ummmmm scrumpy.

Last time i was there i tryed a cheeky thick scrumpy called crippled ****, was exlent.
