hopefully sorted the pics now (if someone could tell me they work it would be a great help ) I could see them but i moved them to a different folder and broke the link DOH!

not done any cardio since yesterday morning, despite me literally lowering carbs i tiny bit i feel so much ore hungry than i hoped i would between meals

Going on a bike ride in a while hopefully, at least a bit of cardio. My Heart Rate monitor's broken so at the moment my cardio is slightly guess work (well its all guess work really anyway bezuse not had meabolic rate test done yet)

OoOGazOoO,

may have to consult you for your superior nutrition knowledge in next few months!

Links/pictures are working now!

I can see the difference in bodyfat from both sets of pictures, although some 'show it' more than others.

Looks like you should have a fairly decent shape once the fat is lowered.

cheers mate.

I mean even me looking at the pictures i dont think i look like i have but obviously in the mirror i can tell! i admit i have been a bit ragged with my eating its all been good stuff but too much of it for a natural trainer probably and i increased protein sizes a couple of months ago and that helped. thing is i've got p*ssed quite a few too many times and had more than the odd fast food treat per week and virually no cardio during the bulk.

Currently still having physio for the shoulder, and got a joint in upper back that gets stiff and hurts, but lower back ok now and none of the above is hindering the training - only thing i wish i could have increased the delts but with my shoulder stabilit the way it is at least i can still train them. although i have been advised to cut down my lat training so I'm now doing DB rows one week, then the following week chins

Just got to be strict now.

I've been having a tiny amount of whey in water before a.m cardio (we're talking 20g) i was going to run this for a while then do it completely fasted after a week or so. this is despite what i have read

do you think i should start straight away fasted?

I'm going to start ECA mid may. This will be the first time i've tried something proper like this (i cant really count the Maximuscle thermobol i used last year) - gave me the sh*ts too!

do you think i should start straight away fasted?

I suppose it depends how easily you manage to strip/drop fat.

Personally though, i would start with fasted AM cardio straight away.

i personally seem to find it hard to loose fat (but that could be down to my diet/training etc), i also put it on easily! shame same cant be said for muscle.
I just thought it may give me a chance to retain some muscle to start off with and sort of wean myself away from it so to speak!

I was worried from going fro a bulk to a cut ie ever so slightly less carbs a sudden increase in cardio ie from none to early morning would make me go catabolic. My HR monitor broken and i should have sent it off months agao to get fixed so I'm guessing a bit with cardio too. you see why i was thinking i was airing on the side of caution thining about retaining muscle before suddenly diving in to fat loss - aye i realise the body takes so many weeks to sort of become effient to burnig fat ect.

maybe i should start start it as of tomorrow morning!

Again, i would still choose fasted over non-fasted from the start.

Just make sure you keep the intensity low and monitor yourself as you go along.

30 min x-trainer trying to keep an indicated 125bpm (what it really is i'm not sure as my HR monitor's broken and i cant be RSed to send it off to get it fixed-LAZY BOY!)

20/4/07

DB seated ohp 3x7@22.5kg
EZ Bar Burl 2x7@35kg 1x6@35kg

very abbreviated w/out as i was heading off to Edinburgh for weekend with GF. Missed out deads and face pulls (she was waiting in the car outside)

My eating wasnt the best over the weekend, Have a chinese, a mexican, 5 bottles of beer and 7 or 8 vodka and diet cokes. Not having my food was a problem when trapsing around. Ended up with a few Boots low carb choc drinks and a couple of the low carb choc decatance bars (that actually have more carbs than protein in them )

23/4/07

Flat Bench 3x7@72.5kg
CG Bench 1x8@60kg 1x7@62.5kg
Chins 1x7 1x6.5(!) 1x6 @ BW
Front Squat 2x7@72.5kg 1x7@75kg

24/4/07

Pilates 45min
30min x-trainer

25/4/07

40min a.m. brisk walking

Done something to a joint in my middle/upper back its like its locked. Its painfull when pressed. Saw chiropractor about it 2 weeks ago, but its really annoying and like i say bordering on painfull at times.

Had my mate (an occupational therapist) to set my chair correctly at work still need to stop stooping

Ordered a inversion table last night. I'm excited about trying it out as sad as it sounds been far too long with constant postural/neck/back issues, and it doesnt really sem to be down to my traiing either.

the shoulder stabiliy/ lower trap physio exercises continue everight

Gaz - would like to but i dont think my GF wants to go this year (not that she deosnt wnat to go its just she wants to got somewhere else and we cant afford to go to Ibiza for even a week AND somewhere else, really) Same with me been 8 times i think now and although i'll be going back again, as i love the scenei dont think it'll this year (unless i can REALLY persuade her!). People dont understand when you say you're going to Ibiza again (people go to Isle of Mann TT races every year for eg!)

You ever get to Bora Bora? its fab. The beach crowd is very cosmopolitian, outdoor house music then late afternoon/early evening it gets louder they enclose it abit and there's italians dancing on table and all sorts of madness!

We stupidly went home as that started happening, and prob missed best bit!

And over the road there Space - what a club! you been?

Went to See Eric Prydz last saturday in Edinbutgh as we were up there for the weekend he was good!

Dead Weight

Its going to be struggle to get that muscle showing through though! my problem area are my shoulders and i stability issue which i'm having physio for. My arms are 16" at moment which is biggst they ever been (an acheivment for me at least!) but they'll soon shrink i reckon when i really get stripping fat, unfortunatle

27/4/07

30min x-trainer in gym @ 125 indicated bpm

28/4/07 a.m

40min x-trainer in gym @ 125 indicated bpm

p.m.

DB Seated ohp 3x7@22.5kg
Deadlifts 1x6@110 2x5@112.5
EZ Curl 1x8 @35kg 2x7@35kg
DB hammer curls 1x5@17.5 1x7@15kg

Presses felt better than last week odd considering i'm on less cals now. rested enough between sets i reckon and i was in a rush last week

Deads still taxing yet pleasing, plently of chalk and i'm resisting using mixed grip to enable to me to use more weight just incase it starts to aggrevate my lower back again. *Touch wood* my lower back's been few for maybe a month now and not seeing chiropractor again til week on Friday.

Curls felt easier i really worked to get last rep of 1st set out up 1 rep from last week. last two sets HARD though!

As i'm only doing either chins OR DB rows per week due to instuction from physio re: my over dominant lats making my shoulder instabiliyt worse i though best add some more bicep stuff in there.

Is this wise?

p.m. (even later!)

2 hour bike ride with my girlfriend

29/4/07 a.m.

45min brisk walk

I sort of accidently picked a route i though i could get round in 40-45 mins but actually took 60-65mins so after 45mins i slowed to a slow walk. Maybe i'm being too worried over nothing but dont want to inlcude catabolic state. Cant really afford to lose any muscle.

Food intake is clean, plenty of fats, protein as it was, carbs from veg unless pre/post weight or (pm)cardio.

nice

Rodge

Alright mate ! not seen this before. Some good mass there. What sort of weight and bf% are you aiming for by the end of your cut ? Hope you have more sucess than I'm currently experiencing with my cut. What do you think you will find hardest to cut out ? or are you one of these annoying people who has will power

Alright,
i really dont have a clue as to what weight i'd be aiming for (as i'll be way off the mark) or BF% (as i dont know what iam now ).
My will power seems to be in fits and starts really. Hoping i've not done too much cardio to soon though, maybe i need to do things a bit more gradually.

Stopped eating spuds at the moment, not sure if i'll miss them or not yet though! Eating wholemeal pasta for pre/post workout carbs and trying to incorporate for " fibreous veg" - i'm still learning what constitutes fibreous veg at the mo TBH.

29/4/07 (pm)

another bike ride 1 1/2-2hours

30/4/07 a.m.

45min walk outside in nice morning air with GF who got up a day early to buy some Kate Moss clothes from Topshop Website (on sale tomorrow not today HA HA!)

I wonder if i'm not eating ENOUGH carbs, feel so hungry today!

Been to Asda for 2 weeks worth of good food tonigh £64 i think it came to. bought some Green and Blacks 70% chocolate, eaten nearly half a 150g bar

Ordered my Ephedrine and caffine tonight. Sort of looking forward to seeing what its like. I'm pretty sure my diet's in order. I might put up a post in Diet Section at somepoint soo.

when i look i mirror currently, what staring back at me looks like a fat man, one who doesnt even look like me trains (fro the front any how). Its a bit depressing
