Nothing wrong with those weights Trebor.

Are the partial close grip bench`s done off of the pins in a rack(lock outs)?

Like i said mate i'm not bothered about poundages i can push the numbers up with lower reps and straight sets but thats not the goal at the moment, yes done off the pins but greater ROM than lockouts.

Back day today.

Had a rough day at work and lower back has taken some hammering, handballed 350 axles today so didn't even attempting rack pulls.

Straight arm lat pulldown 3x15=30kg
t-bar row 1x10=85kg 1x10=87.5kg 1x10=90kg
low cable rows using lat pulldown bar 1x10=80 1x10=82.5 1x9=82.5

Only been doing them a few weeks mate but they do hit the delts different from normal overhead press, give them a try next shoulder session see what you think.

I do these lockouts as well to finish off my overhead pressing and have found them to be very effective .. try doing them as drop sets .. very intense but the results are worth it

I use a machine for ohp and usually drop two plates .. probably about a 20% decrease .. sometimes I'll just go down the stack from 5 plates to one in one long drop set ... major delt pump and guaranteed growth

Legs today, couldn't be bothered today tbh,had a bad nights sleep with the little fella and have been knackered all day, went for normal squats no pre-exhaustion.Pretty half hearted.

1X12=110kg 1x10=120kg 1x8=130 1x6=145kg attempted 152kg for 4 but stalled on the 2nd rep and just say racked it.Quite suprised how much strength ive lost since concentrating on front squats.

leg curls 1x10=40 1x10=35 1x13=30

After reading Neb's journel i thought i would give GM's a go but after just one set my lower back was saying no so called it a day.

Still no calf work.

Lol they were worth a try bud, lower back is taking a real hammering at work at the moment so that could well be a factor in why the GM's were a no go.

Been using a trapbar for a few years now,its great for deadlifting and bentover rows because it allows a more natural body position, for shrugs you can use more weight than with a bar or dumbells, the bar doesn't touch your body so you don't squash your tackle like with a barbell, they are quite expensive though.

Weeks update,

Its been a sh1tty week,on late shift and we've had production overtime 3 nights so havn't been getting to bed until 3am,wed,thurs ive had some sort of stomach bug and hardly eaten, feel ok now and appetite has gone throught the roof.

Monday had planned to train chest/tris but had a load of form filling and calls to make so training was put on hold

tuesday overslept and had no time to train, squeezed in 5 sets of bench to the neck for chest.

Wed,back, straight arm lat pulldowns, rack pulls,t-bar rows, low cable rows.got to work and after an hour started to feel sick, guts cramping, only ate a couple of oatcakes and 2 bananas all shift, tried to neck a shake and nearly spewed up.

Thurs, slept most of the day ate very little, went to work feeling like sh1t,supervisor had a go at me after over a silly mistake and i spat the dummy out big style, broke the record for using the f word in under a minute.

Friday felt loads better,my missus at work and little fella wouldn't have a nap so no chance of a workout.

Saturday,

Weight this morning 15s 1.5lb down quite a bit due to illness expect it to go back up slightly by next week, rang my missus from work last night and she didn't sound very well, she's bad in bed with a bad cold so i'm expecting to catch it

Going to try and get a workout in today if i can.

cheers bud,i work on a car production line and we're currently launching a new model so loads of SNOT,2 days of the week on lates my missus has to be at work for 7am so i have to be up then to get the kids ready for school, the other days i always wake up at about 9 and get up,normally go back to bed for a couple of hours about lunch time, feel tired most of the time so getting motivated to train is hard, sometimes wish i was back on the sites apart from in this weather

Ok fresh week.

Chest and tris

2 sets of low incline flye/press failure
2sets of low incline press to the neck failure

2 dropsets of pushdowns failure
2 sets of partial close grip bench in the rack failure

1 set of light flyes finishing with holding in the bottom position as fascia stretching, only used 25kg bells for this and got 20 reps then held in the bottom postion for a count of 30,these are really painful.
