Good work there!

Are you doing the front squats with the oly grip? There's some stretches you can do to improve wrist flexibility if you want them

I've found just doing static holds in the rack several times a week has really helped. It's still not where I'd like it to be but my flexibility has improved a lot in just under two weeks doing this

I remember trying zercher squats a while back - never again! I only tried it with about 25g and using a towel round the bar, and even then it hurt like hell!

Nice axle pulls! Front and zercher squats in the same session... uncomfortable!

That and the cross over grip..neither are nowhere near comfortable!
I seen somewhere an over the neck harness with a bar holder used for front squat that looked interesting.

I found the Zercher squats more comfortable than Front squats - gonna try some more weight next go round..

I really hate the front squats too tommy. You gotta play around with where you grip the bar to get the best flexibility. Once they get heavy for me i always end up leaning forward and having to ****ing hold the bar, somehow, with my arms crossed and have sore bi's after. Hence why i only do fronts rarely. I'm gonna try and mimic the comp on sunday bro, i'll let you know how it goes then after that its rest rest rest for the week up to the comp. I think my biggest problem is gonna be cardio on the DB press but i can work through it mentally I'll just be begging for an oxygen tank after.

Sunday..feeling under weather still, but just have to train yoke once more before next Sat contest
125 EMPTY YOKE X 200ft, 225x140ft, 315x140ft, 405x60-70, then 585..wraps knees. I started a slow but smooth pace..at about 20 ft my left wrap came off..I continued on to 30ft or so and dropped it. I lost my focus and think I could of hit maybe 40-50ft mark before a drop...leaving it there..Best performance hopefully next Sat at comp !!!! Time to rest and heal

I'm INSANE IN THE MEMBRANE
but doing another contest May 24..26 days from now. Its the NAS RAGE IN THE CAGE whose signature event is the 38000# wrecker pull for 80ft ...a real vomit maker But its also a record breaker contest with Mr Wessells in attendance.
Need to try and improve log so I can get a rep..maybe 2, but there a max effort conv dead event..and i can smell the record

Good to hear you guys did so well on the dl Tommy

A record would be pretty nice too; you gotta do the contest when there's a record available

Indeed I do ! Did deads tonight even though back is still quite a mess and used my new suit (METAL Single Ply King Deadlifter)
Size 50, straps fit OK, but its loose in the middle
deads 135x5, 135x5, 225x5, 315x4, 405x1, 495x1, straps up 545x1..fairly tought..maybe had another 20, 30lbs
Seated rows 2x12, lat pulls 2x12 done

Talked with ex coach he recommended nothing heavy or even close until contest. I insisted at least a little mini Strongman session covering the event next week then resting.
Events are:
Bus pull - tough but done it before
Max Deadlift -
Load and push - load keg to truck bed, push 30 ft, load 2nd keg, push 30ft and than load final keg...never done it, but may have to carry stone instead for practice..or something
atlas stones 220=335 to 48"
log press 210 or 220 , clean once press for reps - I would be satisifed with a rep, exuberated with 2,3

Good luck with the new contest mate! You are a glutton for punishment!

545 is outstanding, especially considering you're back is hammered

Bus pulls sound like fun, must be hard work though

Cheers mate - Yeah I'm hoping rested up a 650lb+ is in the cards on deadlift
This event is not a bus but one of those wreckers that carry the big tractor trailers..getting the thing started is tough and you absolutely cannot let up on it. I thought I would need CPR when I did it last year

yes - Its a size too small actually as I feared. the length is OK, but I'm too skinny. After this year though I'm thinking of attempting heavier bodyweight if I can
