Oh yeah, also just weighed myself at the gym - 193.5lbs. Heaviest I have ever been by a fair amount! I guess I'll be close to 200lbs by the end of the next linear training cycle.

At which point I should probably consider cutting!

Back in the gym today after a 6 day break - I wanted to have a full week off but just couldn't stay out of the gym that long!

This is the start of a new cycle of linear 5x5 for hopefully approx 7-8 weeks (that's my target at least!)

13/04/08

Squat - 5x67.5, 5x85, 5x100, 5x117.5, 5x135
Bench - 5x52.5, 5x67.5, 5x80, 5x92.5, 5x107.5
Row - 5x40, 5x50, 5x60, 5x70, 5x80

All weights fairly comfortable - although the last set on squats wasn't overly easy!

If I can last 8 weeks on this programme, I will be:

squatting 160 for 5
benching 127 for 5
deadlifting 188 for 5
Rowing 94 for 5

Seems ambitious, but that is my nature!

Ain't nothin but a peanut baby

Squat - 5x69, 5x85, 5x100, 5x120, 5x140 (last set tough - a bit of back wobblage)
Bench - 5x55, 5x67.5, 5x82.5, 5x97.5, 5x112 (woops, only meant to do 3), 8x82.5
Rows - 5x40, 5x50, 5x60, 5x70, 3x82.5, 8x60.

All easy apart from that 140kg on the squats - LIGHTWEIGHT!

21st April

Decided to skip a week - needed to lift heavy again!

Squat - 5x73,91,109,127,140 (140 ****in heavy almost failed grrr)
Bench - 5x58,72,86,101,115
Row - 5x43,53,63,73,87.5 (****ed up the weights on the last set - was supposed to be 85)

Good sesh though, happy with the bench!

Deadlifts - up to 5x170 (heavy)
Incline - up to 5x92.5

good lifting still fella, good luck on getting to 200lbs

it depends on what you look like, if you do not have a large amount of fat it may be an idea to keep bulking, only photos can tell us that though

Should have done this workout on the 25th but was too knackered.

Squat - 5x5x72.5,90,110,127.5, 3x150, 8x110
Bench - 5x60,72.5,85,100, 3x117.5, 8x85
Row - 5x42.5,52.5,62.5,75, 3x87.5, 8x65

Tidying up my diet and adding two days of cardio on Sat and Sun to try and cut slightly - but still trying to get stronger.

Starting to cut up now my diet so far is this:-

Wake 8:30 - Protein shake / 2 weetabix / water
10:30 - Protein shake / banana / Fish oil caps
12:00 - Tuna / Mince / Chix low GI Carb source (rice/sweet potato etc)
2:30 - Protein shake / banana (or apple) / Fish oil caps
17:30 - fish / toast
19:00 (on training days only) weetabix / milk
20:00 - 21:00 - Training
21:00 - Protein shake / dextrose
21:30 - Chix / Fish / Cottage cheese / some protein source with some low GI carb source (good sized meal).
If hungry something else before bed (no carbs)

Quickly totting up the protein = approx 225g protein (understated - I'm sure it's more than that)

My goal is to keep improving my lifts, and slowly cut. Should be interesting, I will find this hard work I think.

Bench up to 4x117.5 (failed on fifth rep .... mother f*cker ... next week that 117.5 is getting nailed)
Squats up 4 x 150 (didn't attempt fifth rep .... GRRRR next week!)
Rows up to 5x87.5 - Nailed.

Wednesdays session is gonna get nailed.

Been ill for the last three days, probs shouldn't have gone to the gym tonight but did anyway.

2nd May 08

Bench - 5x60,74,87.5,102.5, 2x120 (grrr), 8x90 (easy)
Squat - 5x75,93,110,130, 3x150

Was supposed to barbell rows 2nite aswell but just too ill for that.

Am losing weight nicely on the cut.

Another 6 weeks and I'll be ripped.

Tough day in gym today - didn't take on enough carbs before hand so was ****ed all work out.

Bench up to 5x105 and then 8x100
Squats - 10x60, 20x100 (****ed me up)
Rows - 60x5, 70x5, 75x8

Had no more energy (note to self - get enough CARBS before training you prick)

diet today has been :-

Wake - nutri grain bar, orange juice, pint of milk
3 hours later - protein scoop, two weetabix, water
3 hours later - as above
gym
pwo shake - dextrose and whey
chicken caesar salad at weatherspoons
piece of cod with small amount of oven chips and parsley sauce

Am cutting up nicely at the moment. Six pack in four-five weeks i reckon. (can already see top 2 abs at the mo).

Will probs have some cottage cheese before I hit the sack.

Lots of supplemented protein....ah well there's more than one whey to skin a cat (i'll get my coat)

Diet today

wake - 2 weetabix, whey and water
10:30 - 2 satsumas , whey , water, 4 fish oil caps
12:30 - Tuna and egg salad
15:00 - Banana, whey, water, 4 fish oil caps
17:00 - 2 weetabix, whey, water
20:30 (after a kip) 5 crackers, butter (pre workout boost!)
21:30 workout
22:45 post workout shake (dextrose, whey, water)
Now (midnight) - 2 weetabix, whey, water.

I need to have more solid protein sources. Will fix this.

Yes...baby!

Powercleans - reps at 60 and then 80 (both easy)
Deadlifts - 5x110,130,150,175 (new pb @ 5x175) shortly after I failed a 195kg attempt (I'm such a pu$$y, i shud have had it but mentally was in wrong place)
Incline bench - 5x60,75,85,97.5 (new pb @ 5x97.5) bring on 5 x 100 next week baby.
Squats - 5x70,95,115,115 (lightweight and easy)

2 PBs on a cut. Bring it!

Still gonna need another four weeks of this bastard cut I reckon. grrrrr, don't like the cut!
