Oh dear that brings back sad memories other than I was in the reverse of it. My in-laws were the ones trying to say where we should live etc. I had many a fall out with my father in law over it all. Even the house we're in now which we bought 8 years ago (hubbie is soon to be 46), they secretly came to look at it to pass their approval . Pity they never realised we were going to become good friends of the people we bought the house off as they were only moving next door and they told us , his face when he found out we knew was priceless. I have to laugh as hubbie is now only 5 years younger than his Dad was when we met and his Dad still thinks we need 'looking after' . It all goes over my head now but it can be very frustrating. You have to stick to your guns and do what you want for you and no one else. Good luck

california without the mrs?! bet thats been a headache!

reading about shoulder sounds bad mate, hope you get it sorted soon, 6 months off from gym will be hard to take but will be worth it if it sorts the shoulder out.

did you decide on a tattoo and have you booked in yet?

Decided on the tatto mate yes thanks, cant wait to get booked in now.

Gonna be expensive, but nothing above what i was expecting.

in fact happy to pay as long as its good. will be getting a japanese dragon curling up my left arm with the head on my chest.

probably mostly black and grey work with flashes of blue to highlight the dragon.

undecided on the backdrop as yet, maybe smoke or water.

but seen some really nice polynesian background work so ill have to see.

he only works monday and tuesday so trying to arrange time off and fit in with work will be hard but hopefully getting to see him some time in april after my holiday.

sooner the better!

Okay workout tonight, shoulder wasnt to bad at all. few twinges afterwards but nothing out of the ordinary.

Back and cardio tonight

4 x 8 60kg BO Row (30 sec rest)
3 x 8 60kg Deadlift (30sec rest)

30mins treadmill CV, incline 6 and speed 5.7, then run for last ten mins or so

Weight seems to be holding steady at 92kg, just around 14.5 stone.

Getting to where i was weight wise last year again, so fairly pleased. just annoyed as ill be out of action for such a long time with this operation ill be back to square one again!

4.5 days left in work till holiday!

Had our offer accepted on the flat in billinge were buying!

very happy, just sorting out the last few mtg problems and were good to go!

Had my MRI and X-ray's today for my shoulder, reasonably painfull dye injection into the joint although the consultant radiologist was extremely good at it so it was okay.

very strange seeing dye in your own shoulder on a big monitor. hated the MRI scan though, sounds like a big machine gun going off next to your ear!

very claustrophobic as well and my shoulders were pressed up against the sides, didnt think iwas going to fit!

on the plus side i got strapped sdown by 2 very attractive nurses! Told them if my girlfriend new i was being tied down by 2 nurses she'd have a bloody fit!

(yes you would dear!) few days wait now i think to find out the results. fingers crossed it can be sorted without surgery

Totally and utterly shattered from the legs session ive just had, didnt really eat before hand, just some toast this morning when i got up at about 9 then legs at 12 so not great.

Best session though weight wise for as long as i can remember.

Squats

3 x 8 100kg
1 x 20 60kg (not completed this before)

SLDL

3 x 8 60kg

Had to lie down after this for about half an hour to recover, felt very shakey and sick afterwards until i managed to eat something.

Saw an old work collegue in the gym and she commented on how much weight id lost so really pleased about that (although i never know how to react to compliments get all awkward for some reason)

No way i could of done any cardio after that but will make sure i have a good session tomorrow.

Good to see you're still handing heavy weights. It'll be interesting to see what the MRI shows up.

What would they do if you were too hench to fit in?

hahaha not sure mate, think they also have a weight limit of 20stone and they offered alternatives if you were above this.

must be a different type of machine available for the really big guys.

cant wait for the results tbh, just feel really lucky to have access to the top guys in the country for this sort of thing.

normal waiting time 12 months for consultant meeting and MRI, so far its been 12 days for me for both

Back from my Jollies in California! Real good laugh had by all and saw loads of the sights.

Some top nights out in hollywood as well, margaritas are very bad! and so is tequilla!

Very surprised not to have shifted one way or another in terms of my weight as its i find its hard to eat small portions over there in the states.

Very, Very bad jet lag at the minute im trying to get over for tomorrow in work.

Dont think i stand i chance but ive done it before so shouldnt be too much of a shock going back in.

Cant wait to get back in the gym, only managed one workout on holiday whilst away

Shoulder pain and discomfort has spread to my elbow and into my neck sometimes as well. not sure if its just the way im unconciousley holding myself that has led to this or weither the problem is getting worse (arthritis?)

I had started to wonder when you'd be back. Pretty dedicated going for a workout whilst on holiday though. I'm surprised that your shoulder's getting worse too given the break, hopefully the new express care will get it sorted out.

thanks for the welcome back fellas. really recharged the batteries.

Managed to get a really cheap mtg deal for my new place in billinge 5.5% apr, so a really good deal i think.

going back to see the consultant on the 1st may to discuss my scans and x-rays, but from all accounts he isnt sure what it is.

Keep thinking is this all in my head, then i move my arm and im in agony, so its as real as it gets!

Jet lag is a bitch! Very tough day in work today, so im just going to take a nice long walk tonight in the fresh air as i really still dont know what time it is! then its back home to bed after a hot bath. just got to try and stay awake till then!!!

First propper session back in the gym again tonight, feels good!

Back

3 x 8 deadlift 60kg
3 x 8 BO Row 60kg

30mins SSCV Treadmill

Deads were very easy as per usual, BO row was just manageable. Shoulder and neck is aching from it but no actual pain, so i can live with that. hate having to be so carefull.

I suppose i should just be grateful i can train anything at all, even if its limited to certain excersises and they have to be very light.

Think id go out of my mind if i had to totally stop the gym altogether, really look forward to the endorphin rush a good workout can generate (not that ive had many of those lately!)

Good...... no Great news on my mtg, managed to get the really cheap one! only 380 per month fixed for 2 years so couldnt be happier!
