not been the gym for a few days, had a bit of a crazy weekend thats taken two days to recover from but im gonna go this afternoon to do my legs.

was considering front squat, body weight lunges, and calf raises. Never really done lunges before, may try it with a bar on my back if its too easy just with BW see how i get on.

God i feel so much better for getting back in the gym, really feel the endorphins running round my system for being a good boy! lol

the front squats were very taxing, even with these i find it hard to keep my back vertical, when i do though i really feel it in my quads so ill have to concentrate on this.
never really done lunges before but rally liked them, think it will help my stabalising muscles.
And more on the calf raises this week so im made up

Front Squat

1x9 60kg, 1x9 60kg, 1x9 60kg, 1x9 60kg, 1x5 60kg couldn't do any more

Calf Raise

1x20 40kg, 1x20 40kg, 1x18 40kg, 1x15 40kg, 1x10 40kg, 1x10 40kg really burned them good!

Lunges (body Weight)

1x5, 1x5, 1x9, 1x9, 1x9, 1x9

Lying Hamstring Curl

1x9 15kg, 1x9 15kg, 1x9 15kg, 1x9 15kg, 1x9 15kg, 1x9 15kg kept the rest really short here, no longer than 30secs.

Glad to be back in the gym, really helps my outlook on life and to completly de-stress me.

Heres todays chest workout, been off work this week and feel really recharged for it, just been able to concentrate on my diet and training

Bench

1x10 20kg, 1x9 50kg, 1x9 50kg, 1x9 50kg, 1x9 50kg, 1x9 50kg, 1x6 50kg just couldnt quite get to 9 reps so ill aim for that next week.

Incline DB's

1x9 10kg, 1x9 10kg, 1x9 10kg, 1x9 10kg, 1x9 10kg, 1x9 10kg still sorting out my for on these, tbh i think ive had my hands to far up my body, ive tried lowering them to chest level and it feels alot better.

Decline Fly

1x8 6kg, 1x8 6kg, 1x8 6kg just couldnt do any more and tbh was feeling a bit of a twinge in my arm so thought id betters stop.

thats pretty much my chest workout, cant manage dips after that, and im leaving my arms alone for the minute not bothering with isolations at all. for my present body fat i think its pointless

trying to cut to be honest mate although i have some issues with food, always feeling hungry even on a bulk! so its a struggle to keep the calories down. what im trying to do at the moment is to increase my output in the gym to try and balance this out.

if i could get down to 14stone id really be made up. managed to get to 14&1/2 before but lost too much strength for my liking due to my lack of knowledge, hopefully this time ill do it a bit better.

really considering help from james myself, just need to put a bit aside to pay for it! but i think i owe it to myself to do so.

Back today at a different gym from normal, was a real struggle to stay motivated towards the end of the workout, but pleased adding more reps to all my lifts.

although my forearms and hands were burning of the deadlifts im determined not to use straps even though my back may suffer until my grip improves and i can hold onto a weight i would normally use. although im really out of breath at the end of the sets anyway due to the volume.

Deadlift

1x9 60kg, 1x9 60kg, 1x9 60kg, 1x9 60kg, 1x9 60kg, 1x9 60kg

Lat Pulldown

1x10 30kg, 1x10 30kg, 1x10 30kg, 1x10 30kg, 1x10 30kg, 1x10 30kg really nice contraction on these on the bottom of the movement, just try and use my hands like hooks with the thumbs over the bar too. i find the isolates my back better and takes the emphasis away from the bicep

DB Row

1x9 10kg, 1x9 10kg, 1x9 10kg, 1x9 10kg, 1x9 10kg, 1x9 10kg

So far im pleased with the way my training is heading at the moment giving me a good base of stamina for when i increase the weights

TBH mate - worthwhile investment IMO... quality advice...

Got the bulking sorted and now he's helped me with my cutting plan... quality bloke IMO.

I'm planning on using cee during my cut to help with my strength...

Just come back from a shoulder workout, bit of a mixed bag. pleased with everything other than my military pressing , just couldnt get 10 reps on every set even push pressing the last few, but everything else the reps have gone up on so im pleased with that, even get to add more weight to my shrugs next week, if my puny hands can hold onto the weight that is

Military Press

1x8 20kg, 1x10 40kg, 1x10 40kg, 1x10 40kg, 1x9 40kg, 1x9 40kg, 1x8 40kg

Rear Raise

1x10 4kg, 1x10 4kg, 1x10 4kg, 1x10 4kg, 1x10 4kg, 1x10 4kg

Side Raise

1x10 4kg, 1x10 4kg, 1x10 4kg, 1x10 4kg, 1x10 4kg, 1x10 4kg

Shrug

1x12 80kg, 1x12 80kg, 1x12 80kg, 1x12 80kg, 1x12 80kg, 1x12 80kg

Grip seems to be slowly improving which is great, however no real weight lost yet.

hopefully with the diet from james and the team that should resolve its self!

thanks mate, the weights look pathetic i know 4kg dumbells lol. if someone said to me thats what they lift id probably laugh. but its just building a base again for me, going back to scratch and starting over.

really feel it in my targeted muscles training like this and i think i look bigger! not exactly what im after at the moment but if its muscle then im happy. calves definatley responding to the hammering im giving them.

thanks for the encouragement

No worries mate... IMO - quality not quantity...

You'll be amazed with the progression you'll make with James' help.. I was (and still am )

I'll keep checking by to see how you're getting on mate
