thanks again mate for the words of encouragement, you still not got a journal yourself mate?

First day of the new diet and ive loved it, should be really easy to stick to. not felt hungry at all throughout the day and really tasty food i think

No worries mate...

Nah mate... but I'm getting asked from a few people lately.. so maybe I should start a one

That's the same as what I found with James' diet...really easy to stick to...

Did you try having shorter rest periods in between sets mate?? - were you done any faster at the gym??

Well just got back from my track day at oulton park and it was a really amazing experience.

going round the track in a single seater like a formula 3 but smaller, 1.8 audi engine really balsted round the track! would recommend it to anyone as a gift or a treat, not had a driving experience like it before.

Yeah mate timed the rest periods today

limited myself to 1 min a set today, really breathing hard throughout the whole session felt great untill my left arm got a twinge in it so had to stop short of the full workout.

liked the focus and intensity of the shorter rest periods, felt more phyced (sp) up for the whole thing

Back

Deadlift

1x8 70kg, 1x8 70kg, 1x10 70kg, 1x10 70kg Again a long way of my 1 rep 185kg dead lol
But im pleased my grip is improving so quickly, hopefully it will catch up quickly. think ill try to get to 120 or 130 without straps before i allow myself to use them again.

Lat Pulldown

1x10 90p, 1x10 90p, 1x10 90p, 1x10 90p Forearms were really burning but pleased all the lifts were up this week though so ill up the weights next week

Bent Over Row
Dumbell's

1x10 25kg, 1x9 25kg then my arm gave way. other than that good session

legs tonight, hard session as the gym was bloody roasting! everyone was complaining about the air con not working, but no excuses!

Legs
Warm up was some bodyweight lunges 10 each leg

Front Squat

1x8 70kg, 1x8 70kg, 1x8 70kg, 1x8 70kg these were bloody hard, really blowin by the end of these, very hard to keep the bar on my shoulders and my biceps were twinging with the effort

Lunge

1x8 10kg, 1x8 10kg, 1x8 10kg, 1x8 10kg another hard exercise these, really massive pump in my legs though from them.

Hamstring curl

1x8 20kg, 1x8 20kg, 1x8 20kg, 1x8 20kg

tried to keep the rest as short as possible although the front squats an lunges really took it out of me so i think it was a bit longer

Shoulders tonight, someone was using the oly bar(yes the gym only has one!) so used dumb bells for a change on my pressing. made sure the seat was vertical i was sitting in , so many people i see work the shoulders and it may as well be a bench press how big the angle is or they really arch their backs.

DB Press

1x8 25kg, 1x8 25kg, 1x6 25kg, 1x4 25kg bit dissapointed with these as i used to do 30kg comfortably for 3 sets. just have to keep telling myself im cutting

Seated rear raise

1x9 7.5kg, 1x9 7.5kg, 1x9 7.5kg, 1x9 7.5kg 1 rep up on these so pleased

Side Raise

1x9 7.5kg, 1x9 7.5kg, 1x8 7.5kg, 1x8 7.5kg

Shrug

1x9 90kg, 1x9 90kg, 1x9 90kg, 1x9 90kg all with a pause and one rep up on last time so pleasing again

Keep up the good work! You have the enthusiasm and dedication to make this work.

Hang in there with the roaccutane - you should start to see some benefits over the next few weeks, even if you feel like your skin is falling off!

Don't worry about it mate..

One meal isn't going to hurt IMO/IME...

You should have gone for the 16" BTW IMO

lmao! felt so bloody guilty about eating it! nearly started on packets of crisps and chocolate bars etc But managed to resist it, that would have been a really bad binge i think.

Only get the urge to eat loads at my girlfriends for some reason. no idea why

I find it helps mate to have a meal 'off' everyonce in a while TBH...

Helps with satiety and keeping to your normal diet IMO...

GF probably drives you to it mate

Ice-Cream is a trigger food for me IMO... after a little of that I can empty a cupboard out

On to my legs workout, i love training legs! Best body part ive got, low bf on my legs so my quads really pop out and im working on my calfs

Think ive been going about my higer volume training the wrong way, i need to start upping the weights till i cannot complete 4 sets of 8 at that specific weight as opposed to just keep upping the reps at a random weight ive chosen.

That way ill quickly get to the correct weight i can handle as opposed to fannying round with these lower weights like i have been! Only realised this when i got home so another light leg workout lol

Squat

1x8 20kg, 1x8 70kg, 1x8 70kg, 1x8 70kg, 1x8 70kg all with 1 min rest and as deep as i could go, really nice feeling in my quads

Leg Curl

1x8 120p, 1x8 120p, 1x8 120p, 1x8 120p relativley easy but done with a pause in the contracted position to make it harder

Leg Extension

1x8 120p, 1x8 120p, 1x8 120p, 1x8 120p same again, not too hard even with a nice pause and very slow

Calf Raise

1x20 40kg, 1x20 40kg, 1x10 40kg, 1x10 40kg very hard these done with no shoes on a step under the smith to get full ROM id reccomend them to anyone! very nice feeling after these really pumped and burned

Military Press

1x14 20kg, 1x8 47.5kg, 1x8 47.5kg, 1x8 47.5kg, 1x7 47.5kg last fe were push presses but happy with it none the less

Rear Raise

1x10 7.5kg, 1x10 7.5kg, 1x10 7.5kg, 1x10 7.5kg havent decided weither to go up to 12 reps then increase the weight or up the weight and drop to 8 reps again........ ANY input appreciated!

Side Raise

1x10 7.5kg, 1x10 7.5kg, 1x10 7.5kg, 1x10 7.5kg same with these up the reps or drop em and increase the weight?

Shrug

1x10 90kg, 1x10 90kg, 1x10 90kg, 1x10 90kg just about kept hold of the bar on the last few res of these! im sure it would have made a nice hole in the raised floor we have in the gym!

So anyone advice on what to do, cheers
