ORIGINAL: flick161 How's the diet going lady? And how's the Shoulder holding up? Diet is going well. Lost 4lb so far and am already at the weight I should be at for Friday, was at this weight by Sunday actually so should be lower come Friday which puts me ahead for now. Have got my little excel chart going as I like to watch the graph drop . Taking it easy so far, only doing 40mins slow pace on treadmill in a morning, still had treats at weekend (2 lots of low fat popcorn) but as soon as the weight loss slows down I have loads of room for diet improvement and increasing cardio for now. Don't want to go too strict too soon. Dave, frosties aren't as great as Elliot, although they're both sweet

Oh I'm all excited. Have booked 3 nights at Ragdale Hall. They were pretty chocker so we have to move rooms after 2 nights but that doesn't bother us. We have a suite for the first two nights and 4 treatments included in the price. I have also booked hubbie and I in for an 90 minute MOT massage, this is how it is described quote:
This customised, full body oil massage uses many different approaches from around the world, combined with the skill and knowledge of Ragdale’s own Massage specialist Danny Allman. A multi-talented masseur- Danny specialises in enhancing quality of life through his massage techniques and postural remedial advice. Deep tissue and remedial massage techniques are used along with various muscular release movements to loosen all muscles, increase joint mobility and fight postural aches and pains. Stretches are applied whilst another part of the body is massaged; this enables a long deep stretch to be held when it may otherwise be uncomfortable. Relax as your body is rocked, pulled, massaged and stretched. This therapy delivers a firm, flowing and rhythmical massage great for pure therapeutic relaxation, whilst actively working with your body to release localised and specific problem areas. It is very different to traditional sports or remedial therapy as it treats the full body and the localised challenges as one. This treatment will act like a MOT test for your body leaving you relaxed, refreshed and able to improve your health and wellbeing yourself. To prolong the effects of the treatment, Danny will offer advice on remedial stretching for any noted problem areas. Not for the faint hearted! I decided to have a go at training shoulders today but avoided pressing, so again, plenty lateral work. I managed to do close grip press for chest without any bother from shoulders so hopefully will be ready for a good chest sess with Tania on Thursday

We're both having it Chrissie. I've not been to Ragdale. Been to Hoars Cross and Springs Hydro (before it was Champneys) so quite looking forward to trying this one out. There is one pretty close to us, Brookland, but it's nice to 'get away'. Hope you're having a nice time at the trailer

Altho I see you more of an Umbongo Gal Not sure whether I should be insulted with that, that to me strikes monkey and although I'm a cheeky monkey I hope I don't look like one Nikkie, thanks, looking after said shoulder/s with care. Does feel good that the weights coming off, I can tell already with clothing even though it's less than half stone and I'm hoping to keep ahead of myself so that on the weeks when a lapse happens, it will not put me behind. I have found an absolutely delicious bedtime snack. I shall keep this in for as long as the diet will allow but it's a tub of Quark with a sachet of Horlicks light mixed in and sprinkle of sweetner just to dress it up a little more. It's divine

Don't see why not. I don't think I've ever had ovaltine. I like the maltyness of Horlicks. Used to love the sweets but not sure if you can buy them now. Anyway, I is off for a hurly night.....good night all

FLick, no only 40mins in a morning for now. That's nothing really so if I can continue at that level I'll be pleased but at least I know I've got another 20mins and an extra hour to build on should I need to.

Been out for a lovely walk this morning and saw two deer, a pheasant and a week old foal, got photos on iphone so shall have to upload them, the foal was so cute running around like it was Red Rum reincarnated I've posted this in the general forum but that daft dog of mine managed the walk, got home had a bath, ate her dinner and then went out to wipe her face on the lawn which I watched and then in she came and for some bizarre reason started to limp pretty badly. Took her to the vets, the nurse saw her limp and as soon as the vet came out she walked fine . Talk about embarassing

That's good that the weight is dropping off nicely, hope it keeps on like that. I'm off the other way - either my scales are dickie, or I'm laying on some nice muscle I've got some lovely obliques - only problem is that I have to pull my stomach out of the way to see them - that'll have to get sorted before next year....or I could give a contemporary posing routine consisting of manually pulling flab out of the way to expose muscles...don't reckon I'd get any points tho' Your spa weekend sounds like paradise - enjoy
