Well I've gone and done it this morning. Managed to completely split open my trousers at the gym. Nice arse to grass squats and BANG they burst open. Don't think anyone saw it other than hubbie who was stood right behind me. Tied my top around my waist and toddled off to the gym shop to buy some more. Didn't realise until I got home how awful they made my arse look....and it's bad enough as it is

Trouser splitting squats?!?!?!? Must try them!!!

Am quietly impressed that your gym has a shop too!

How's the comp prep going Kitty?

Further to CrissieG's post, I am interested to hear how the comp prep is going too?

I also on that front, have one or two questions to ask you if you don't mind?

All questions welcome....whether I'll answer is another matter

Prep is sort of going ok, it's still very early doors and I've only just got my head back round it since coming back from our weekend away. I also seem to have had an influx of new customers who want to book at the times I'd normally eat so that's been a little sporadic. I like to stick to a routine when I diet otherwise I don't keep track of where I am.

Had a great night out with Ticteaser and her friend Kate, Elfintan and Paul and Tortiecat and her hubbie (although Tortiecat was otherwise engaged all night on the microphone) and my Mum and Dad (how can I forget them). We were at the Pendle Valley show in Barnoldswick, the atmosphere was amazing as usual but competitor numbers were down a little. Memo to self : must do this comp one year.

Sounded like a good night out.

Kitty. I know that you are natural and therefore would'nt take substances on the banned list, but building up to a comp, especially in the last week or two, I'd be interested to learn how you go about reducing the amount of water the body carries.

I am doing my first powerlifting comp in 10 wks, and yes of course its a totally different ball game, but I do carry a lot of water and this will be my final stumbling block in reaching my target weight of 90k (currently 96k), I know it will!

A heck of a lot of seemingly innocuous stuff is banned, such as caffiene and such like that act as diuretics. But I will need to do something in the final week to rid myself of excess fluid without losing strength!

Any ideas?

Hi Kitty. Thiught I would pop my head in and ask for some advice. I have serious doubts as to whether I can get into contest condition in 8 weeks. I will take a pic sometime this week so you can see what I am up against. maybe its simply the enevitable defeatist attitude rearing its ugly head or maybe the voice of reason. I dont know, and need a valued objective opinion. (sorry for the imposed pressure)

No worries S4IN7, will look out for photos

Poor gypsy . There was some water down inside but we kept telling her to get away from it as it was with the food and I forgot to put some outside. I remember being in the process of getting it and then getting distracted. Sorry.

Kitty, do the trouser splitting squats have anything to do with the quantity of blueberries you have been eating? Will you be able to go on Sunday to the Sci-Mentor?
