Well the positivity is dwindling a little today, not helped by my stressing over this darn assignment. It's even eating into my training time now as I have to hand this in next week. I got up late this morning which didn't help matters so I started off feeling annoyed at myself. Back and biceps at the gym today. Deadlifts, bent over bb rows and close grip pulldowns in place of pull ups. Managed to add a little more onto the deadlifts than I've been doing but my grip was pretty weak By the time I got home and walked the dog it was pretty late and I was feeling guilty about feeling the need to do my CV . I compromised on only doing 20 mins thinking it was better than nothing. So annoying as I feel guilty for not doing the assignment and then feel guilty for not doing my CV I also think I'm eating too many carbs. Just had a jacket and tuna for lunch, thinking about it, the jacket is providing more carbs than 30g of rice would have. I need to revert to rice now and have spuds at weekend as a treat. I do notice a better weight loss with rice so taking this step will hopefully boost my positivity again Doubled up on the dose of Xtralean today. Still aching from legs too

Get into some off road area and run with the dog, he will enjoy it and you can "kill two birds with one stone" And in Chorley there is plenty of green areas and parks for you to do the running/walking

Flick, it's not the carb level in the food, it's the amount that I feel I need to eat. I can manage on 30g rice, it feels enough but if I'm having a potato, if has to be a big one Cheers Kaz and Gem Paul, it would take me longer to do CV with the dog and I'm trying to manage my time better at the moment. My dog is only a Shih Tzu so I wouldn't be running very fast....not that I can run outside very well anyway as I tried it last year and I was useless! Plus if I did do it with the dog I'd then have to shower her (as I do when I take her for the long walk on Wednesday), she's white and pale tan and longish fur, hence why it's more time consuming The negativity is coming from the assignment. Not made as much progress as I'd have like. I should have it finished in time but I'm fed up of it now . Even ended up doing no CV this afternoon because I wanted to get one section finished off tonight. Frustrating as it will then have a knock on effect on my weight and then I'll have negative vibes about that ARRRRRRGGGHHHHHH

I'm in a similar situation, kitty. I have put 3st on since october last year after reaching nearly all of my targets in june ready for the BNBF figure. I broke my leg 3 weeks before the manchester competition After training for 4 months my mood plummeted and I yo -yoed for a bit then just gave up. I started training again earlier this month and completely overhauled my diet but my motivation is slow coming, I get upset at the thought of starting again I'm REALLY struggling with the morning cardio as I feel so heavy and useless. I can relate to your study commitments, I recently got promoted but the job involves creating a whole new service in the NHS and I'm bogged down with proposals and buisness cases with dead lines and I feel really guilty when I decide to train rather than sit and work. Although I'm being told by friends and family that I should prioritise work and forget the training, I can't work if I don't train and get back to my old self!! SO what I've done is set time aside in the week that is strictly work and nothing else by penalty of weekend treat, this has at least motivated me to get my ass out of bed and train dam it! because I know that the hour in the evening is 'work time' and if I dont work then I can't have my treat at the weekend. Your success in your training and at the BNBF has always been motivation for me and even though I wish it easier for you it's nice to know I'm not alone and that thought just kept my head out of the fridge! Keep smilin'

How frutstrating for you, you could have come with a cast on, it would have got you noticed and at the worst you'd have got 3rd as there was only 2 in the comp last year so you would have got through to the final Glad I've motivated you at least , I'm no different to anyone else, I have my struggles and ups and downs. I'm fine normally with my time management it;s just that I found Xmas through me out a lot so I was left with 2 weeks to do an assignment, this obviously ate into the time for this one. I also ended up telling clients I was too busy to see them until the end of Jan so I could get the work done, plus I had the week at Uni and then a week doing a first aid course. Should be fine after next week

I know what you mean about the rice Kitty, 30g fills me up as it expands with the amount of liquid I drink too... Stick to whatever suits you I guess, maybe if you have a potato and you're not having veg, whack a salad with it. Works better than rice and salad methinks...

Woke up on time this morning. Today is weighing day and I was pissed off to find I'd put weight on . Ok Ok, it was only half a pound but I was hoping to be 2lb lighter but what the hell else can I expect when I've been skipping my CV and I know that this is the only method that works for me. So as you may expect, off I went to the gym all negative. I sat on the bench and looked at myself in the mirror and thought, "ok, you're peed off now so how is that going to impact on your training? It's going to make you have a bad session and then you'll feel even worse when you get home and then you'll skip the CV and then winge even more next week when you've still not lost weight" So, there was my self talk again and I decided that the best thing to do was focus on my good bits.....not that I have many at the moment but I keep looking at my two pack and how my hips stick out further because of the tension on the elastic on the waist of my trackie bottoms (thank heavens I can't see my arse )......so focus shifted from those on to my back.....yep, my back looks big today, I have a good 'V' shape and am often complimented on it so that's now what I'm going to think about. No more belly, hips and arse talk from me (well for now at least) So, on to the training session (at last). Shoulders and triceps. Decided to do a complete change on shoulders so I did lying dumbbell press, cable lateral raises and bent over dumbbell raises followed by shrugs Triceps Skull crushers supersetted with close grip press Under hand grip cable pull downs I feel I am also getting more accustomed to training in a morning now. My strength has gone up this week, even noticed it on my triceps. Back home, walked the dog and did 40min on the treadmill....almost finished the book I'm reading, was tempted to continue but it was geting late and I needed to eat and the assignment was screaming at me. Started on the assignment and have made good progress (see what a positive attitude can do ) Oh, and sod, it, I had a another baked spud at lunch (well, I need to eat them as they will start sprouting )

Sounds like a pretty positive day to me, well done... I'm impressed at how you managed to talk yourself out of a bad situation. Definitely focus on the positives and remember for all the ones you don't see there'll always be others around you queuing up to point them out!

Not just me either, I have a couple of personal friends that did exactly the same. sorry anyway
