Congrats on getting the gyno appointment booked; I seem to remember reading a few times you've been wanting to get this done for quite a while. How're you liking the Rippetoe program? I've heard great things about his stuff

Yeah, I finally got the balls (and the money ) to get it taken care of. I am following his beginners linear progression program. I like it but am starting to wonder how much longer I can keep adding 15 lbs a week to my squat. Working at near my max 3 times a week on such a demanding lift is going to catch up to me soon. I was really hoping to hit 315 for 5 on squats before my surgery But after surgery will be hardcore cutting to get in the best shape of my life. Diet is pretty much set (currently sipping warm green tea (no cals) to try and keep myself full as I have reached my caloric limit ), cardio is going to be the hard part.

Ive just got back to playing this week after a 3-4 year lay off, its coming back ok. Im just playing some nice easy stuff though, mainly chillis and a bit of jack johnson! I am really just learning to play but here are some I enjoy: Wonderwall- Oasis (of course ) Forever- Ben Harper (girls love this one!) Simple Man- Shinedown (cover) Battery-Metallica (the Spanish sounding intro) More Than Words- Extreme Classical Gas, (though this is really hard and I can barely play the first few bars) Thats all I can think of right now. I have gone back to electric for the moment and am working on Be Yourself by Audioslave. http://youtube.com/watch?v=JdCfcjmxouo

I use tabs, I don't know really any theory so I can't do it by ear. That song you posted sounds good, but I am crap at fingerpicking too. Honestly I am crap at guitar...lol No I don't serenade anyone, I can't sing and play at the same time...lol. I do play for my girlfriend and some of the girls at work at times... I REALLY want to be able to play this song, it makes me tear up for some reason. Probably because I can only play the first 35 seconds of it lol http://youtube.com/watch?v=x6LotiAcF1w If this is your style it is a good acoustic song and the ladies love this one too http://youtube.com/watch?v=TNJ_NrRJMXc

Well I am 10 days post op, and doing well. My chest looks better and better every day. The swelling is really going down nicely, but I do feel some scar tissue starting to form. Hopefully the endermology sessions I am scheduled for will help with breaking that up and getting a better contour to my chest. I stopped taking my Lortab for two reasons. One being that I really don't have any pain and was taking them just for the hell of it and two they seem to make me sleepless as I haven't had a good nights sleep since I started taking them. I feel good enough to start doing cardio again, just no jogging or upper body movements that would hinder my healing. I think I am going to start working up to doing HIIT cardio on a bike or maybe a stepper Mon., Wed., and Fri. to try and shift some fat, get my fitness back, and get my work ethic back. I really have let myself go over the past week or two. I haven't been very strict on my diet and with an almost sedentary lifestyle it is starting to show. On that note, here is my diet for the day. I am back to keeping a food journal in hopes that if I write everything down I will be more likely to stick to my guns all week. It is like I am making myself accountable to, well...myself. Here goes, I didn't write down meal times though! Meal 1 (overslept the alarm and was late for work) 2 Egg McMuffins Cal: 600, P:36g, C:58g, F:24g Meal 2 Shake Cal:289, P:23g, C:42g, F:3g Meal 3 2 Black Angus "Sammies" (flatbread, black angus steak, fat free Italian Vinegarette, lettuce and tomato) Cal:360, P:22g, C:48g, F:8g Meal 4 4oz Chicken Breast 6oz Sweet Pot 1/2 Cup Sugar Free Jell-O Cal: 417, P:39.55g, C:47.4g, F:5.7g Meal 5 Same as meal 4 Totals Cal:2083, P:160.1g, C:242.8g, F:46.4 Note-Not the best diet today. Lack of preparation and oversleeping put me out of whack for the rest of the day. I was low on everything by a little bit. Ideally I should have had a sixth meal but I ran out of time as I need to get to bed to make it to work tomorrow. Will do better next time.
