Its a bitch, but I can't afford to get if fixed. Going to attempt to get as low bodyfat as I can and see if that improves my self esteem about it all.

ORIGINAL: Ross88 You must be getting fit as hell by now!!! I'm getting there. Also found out that Crossfit is the same workouts they did for the 300 movie...Gym Jones coach is a certified Crossfit trainer who sneakily took the Crossfit way, renamed it, and branded it his own design...what a snake Today's Workout: WHATABITCH Tabata Fight Gone Bad" Complete 40 intervals of 20 seconds of work followed by ten seconds of rest. Perform 8 consecutive intervals of each of the following exercises: Wall-ball 20 pound ball, 10 ft target. (Reps) Sumo deadlift high-pull 75 pounds (Reps) Box Jump 20" box (Reps) Push-press 75 pounds (Reps) Burpees (reps) There is no additional rest between exercises. Each exercise is scored by the weakest number of reps (calories on the rower) in each of the eight intervals. The score is the total of the scores from the five stations. My Score: 29 Not terrible, not that good either. First time doing anything like this and I now have a milestone to pass next time around.

Promise I have been working out hard, you guys missed me I'm sure. Think I might workout a few days behind the WOD so I know what is comming next. I am going to add heavy benching and heavy deadlifting as a weekly thing. Maybe the days before rest days, not sure. That being said, here is a few days ago: Squats: 135x 15 155x 12 185x 9 JackKnife Pushups- 15,12,9

"Elizabeth" 21-15-9 of: Ring Dips (assisted) and 135 lb Cleans (awful form!) Time: 19:25 djmike, yeah they are quite intense. They do have the odd max effort day every 8-10 days or so to mix things up. I am cutting at the moment and it help me get the cardio out of the way in a method I enjoy. When i bulk up again this winter I will probably keep doing it and just add in more heavy lifting days as I can. Actually, I am doing their Workout of the Day a few days behind so I can see what is coming up next and just add in whatever I feel like after the requested workload.

"Helen" 3 Rounds of: Run 400 meters 55 lb Kettlebell Swings x21 (accidentally used 35lbs DOH!) 12 Pullups Time: 12:57 Previous Time:18:42 Note: Pullups were 300% improved. I am finally getting kipping down and only had to break them down into sets of 6! Sadly, I mistakenly used to wrong weight on kettlebell swings, otherwise I am very very proud of myself!

Hey man, Nice work on the pull ups, esp after that session. My bro's thinking of taking up CrossFit as he's big into rugby and rowing. Would you reccomend he wait till the off season, to preventy burnout?

Would you reccomend he wait till the off season, to preventy burnout? What is his rugby training like? How often does he workout for rugby? Many of the people who do crossfit are athletes in other disciplines: soccer (football), mma, marathon runners, etc. The crossfit coaches actually recommend taking up a sport in your free time. What you might try is that if he does a lot of running and more cardio type workouts for rugby, add in a few of their max effort weights days, or vice versa. Ultimately you might suggest he go to www.crossfit.com and sign up on the forum and have a look around on there. P.S.: Thanks about the pullups, my old personal best was only 5
