Colin.d..The First Step is the Hardest
-

Well here we go with the next move forward, ive been meaning to start a journal for some time and i think what stopped me was the feeling that any negative feedback would somehow knock my confidence but thats just me. Any way i came back to training in Sept 2006 to get fit and ended up going in all the way, when i started i went on a bulk and got to 202lbs at one point and finally stopped at 199.5lbs. Im now on week 4 of cutting and at the moment weigh in at 190lbs;. Workout. Day 1. CHEST & BICEPS Day 2. Quads,Hamstrings & calves Day3. Delts & Triceps day4. Back & Traps All workouts at the moment finish with 30 mins of cardio, and Day1 & Day 3 i work Abs as well.

Hey Colin do you not incorporate am cardio into your routine? From my cutting experience i find it much easier to loose bf thrugh am cardio. I find when im doing a weights session i want to smash the weights then get out of the gym ASAP. Good look anyhow.

Amazing workout last night but when your in with the big boys you just push you all the harder, im finding that im getting a really good pump these days maybe because ive changed my routine slightly and its more of a challenge or iys more to do with my mental standing as when your looking in the mirror when your pumped and saying to yourself" looking good but this could be better & that needs to worked on. happy days!!

ORIGINAL: colin.d Well here we go with the next move forward, ive been meaning to start a journal for some time and i think what stopped me was the feeling that any negative feedback would somehow knock my confidence but thats just me. Anyone gives you negative feedback and they are not worth bothering about, this is a section for people to improve themselves and post up improvements or lack of Others on here, should be here to offer encouragement and to share the highs, and help you outta the lows. Anyway, what I am saying is good luck Colin, I'll pop in when I have time and I hope you achieve your goals..
You only bench, squat and clean!! yeah it's true, check my journal

Just got back from the gym and it was triceps & delts today, really starting to get there as i was told by a couple of the peoplr training that my definition is really starting to come through and my cut seemed to be going really well. Im also getting that buzz just s i walk into the gym in knowing what im going to do and it really kick me off to go hard , maybe this is just the vanity kicking in when people stop and look when you train either that im making a complete b****x of the whole thing lol. weight up on rope pulldowns 3x8 at 110 also on seated presses 3x8 at 44lbs

I know this is the third straight entry but who cares, im eating for the frst time in 48hrs as i caught some kind of virus and couldnt even hold any fluid down so as of yesterday i was 6.5lbs lighter. My wife reckons i wont be able to train until properly re-hydrate so it will be wednesday before i get to the gym , it can seem that you take one step forward and two steps back sometimes, but hey ho onward and upward!.

For the first time back i had a really good workout but when i got home i felt a bit light so my wife done my blood sugar which was 5.1 so i been told to diversify my diet for the next few days as i still may be missing a few things ( a brain for a start) so ill comply and start to step things back up and start cutting again .

Chest and Pecs tomorrow and time to upgrade my weight on arms as my wife said my arms look thin!.

finding it difficult to get rid of the last 8 lbs and get to my target weight, it could be that catching the viral thing last week kinda knocked me sideways more than i thought. Should be legs today but im still having problems with my right knee so ill have to change my training routine for the next couple of weeks to let this rest and start with light weights to begin with, apart from this still feel good and confident about getting to the weight and size i want to be...Bring It On!!.

Dropped a jean size and strength gains are going well,All my weights are up as i feel really motivated and confident as the the weather is fantastic this helps your state of mind. Still having trouble shifting that last 6-7 lbs but thats the challenge and it wont beat me!, ive also put half an inch on my biceps (YAHOO!) so it feels like its all coming together.

Chest and Biceps today and the Pit was quiet with no six stone Schwarzeneggers around so i could focus. Chest seems to be coming on with the DB presses and flyes feeling good also really getting into hammering Biceps with single arm preacher curls at 40lbs on 3x 8 reps and barbell curls on 44lbs for 12,10,8 & 4 reps, im still waiting to feel flat so im wondering if im doing something wrong as when i look in the mirror i feel i look good apart from the AB,s but thats what dieting and doing three ab workouts per week is for, my target is 180 lbs and im in the last 6lbs towards that and dropping more carbs may be the answer so rom this week im trying to have just veg and no potato,s and see how this helps also cutting Burgen out as well.
