Good morning mate. Hope you a good nights sleep. Good idea in sorting your sleep out, although I tend to sleep better when I do some exercise.

Here's an idea, to make up to your lovely wife, why not go for a nice leisurely walk around Cardiff every night after you both come in from work. You can spend some quality time together, you do some light exercise, works up appetite for dinner and you make up from earlier indiscretions with the other "women" in your life!

Regarding the AA, it might help you to meet other people in the same circunstances as you, depends how public you want to be with your addiction. Alternatively your close friends, your wife and us in MT can provide some support. It helps if you discuss things openly, specially with your wife, if for example you feel like having a drink. If you put it out in the open it will be easier to deal with it.

Morning mate

I find that exercise kills me off and I sleep better aswell but thought I would give my body a deserved rest for a week. Once I start my routine properly I am out like a light!

We have started to walk home from work recently mate and it is nice (especially in this weather).

Diet

This is an area that I need to sort out. Due to the amount of calories that the alcohol used to give me I will be eating more than usual over the next 2-3 weeks to make up for the calories. I will sort myself out and then the diet below will be basically it I would imagine:-

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6:00 Wake Up -

7:30 Breakfast - 6 egg whites - protein shake + creatine

Mid morning snack - Apple + Banana

12:00 Lunch - Jacket Potato/Beans or Tuna and Onion Sandwich

Mid Afternoon - Tin of sardines

16:00 Train

17:30 Tin of tuna + creatine

18:00 Tea - 2 chicken breasts with veg

Sleep
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not the best diet I know but it will start me off for the meantime. As usual any comments on the diet would be welcomed.

I am adjusting the above diet as I have eventually read up Toxics cutting article....feck me I've only been a member for just over 2 and a half years!

Wasn't going to train until next week but cannot wait any longer. I am fed up of being the way that I am and it is time to sort it out.

Starting my creatine and new training/diet routine from tomorrow and can't fecking wait.

Will update on the first session tomorrow.

Great to see you raring to go mate, get in there whilst the mood is with you!

I think actually logging the diet shows us all tht we're far from perfect in reality. Keep on making small changes and you'll be well away, I wouldn't say your diet is bad.

I have got a ticket to watch the Premier League Darts in Cardiff tonight. Now yesterday I thought I would only have a physical challenge to overcome I now have a mental and physical challenge to overcome. NO ALCOHOL TONIGHT!!

This is the kind of challenge that I need to do to show myself I can have a good laugh with the boys and not drink! They have been pretty good fair play.

Wait for the update tomorrow! It WILL be good news!

Good news on the sleep last night. Had a good sleep. The only thing that was annoying was waking up with the sweats again. It is the main thing that pisses me off about coming off the drink.

I was going to work the weekend but bugger it I am going to get a hell of a lot of sleep and sort my body out for the caning it is going to get over the next year or so!!

Bad news

I went to the darts last night and had a cracking time....the bad news is that the bottles of FANTA cost me £2.10!!! WOOHOO!!!

Didn't touch a drop of alcohol and still had a cracking time and acted like a right tit but a right sober tit!

Feel brilliant this morning and my wife is really proud of me which is the main thing!!

Cheers. It was a great feeling to get through unscathed My mate actually went to the bar and brought me three pints thinking I was drinking and I turned them down which is a big step as they were cold and free

Well I am off for the weekend now. Haven't got a PC in the house so will update on progress on Monday.

It's hard isn't it. I had a few drinks when I moved into my new flat on the 9th March and have been f*cked every night since. I had to draw the line somewhere and drastic measures had to be put in place.
