Been there mate. The only way you will feel normal is not to drink for 2 weeks or so...then you will start to reap the benefits of being sober.

Good luck mate and pop in anytime for any advice or to offer support
Cheers

Good weekend drinkwise. Didn't even think of having a pint and to be honest with you felt sick at the thought. Starting my creatine today so alcohol is a no no as when I drink them both I bloat up like a small beached orca.

First proper training session today. Looking forward to the nice long sleep tonight!!!

Cheers

Trained Chest and Arms last night....felt weak in the gym but as it was my first real session for ages it was expected. Still kept some of my size which I am happy about.

Nice sleep last night and am feeling great today. Just munched down some tuna (cue complaints from workmates) and my diet has been good over the last few days.

Cheers

Cheers Chrismac, Richyd and Evilengine.

Back session yesterday...really went for it and am feeling brilliant today.

Not had a craving for alcohol at all to be honest. The new thing I seem to crave is healthy eating and training which is a good thing

Cheers

Two Ls? Or would that be 2 FF's?

I can't disrespect you in your own journal, so you shall be known as Cardifflad with one F only in my journal!

Radders - lol, that's what I'm known as at work. Works fine for me

Nice plan for the weekend too. Enjoy.

Down the gym to do my Chest and Shoulders again today....trying out a new routine from Monday

Mon - Back
Wed- Chest + Shoulders
Fri - Arms/Legs

See how this goes for a while. Alcohol wise I went out for my mates b'day last night and everyone was 100% shocked that I wasnt drinking but respected it and respected me more for it I think...result

Good weekend to all.

Great weekend drinkwise.....I went out for a meal for my mates b'day again on Friday .....no alcohol...went out Saturday until 3 in the morning....not alcohol...went out for Sunday dinner....no alcohol....brilliant.

I woke up Saturday morning and was feeling fresh (usually hungover) so I cycled to the gym and got a session in. Feeling great at the moment.

Biggest test is coming up on Saturday as I am out for my first Cardiff City match since giving up drinking....there will be plenty of shocked people when they see me sipping water

Wow, you're doing great. Can you not drink soft drinks, or use some other way to make it less obvious that you're not drinking?

Not that there is a problem with it, but sometimes if you're getting less comments it may be easier to sustain. Either way you're doing fantastically well so I'm sure you'll have no problems.

Cheers Radders. I was drinking J2O's on Saturday so that wasn't too bad. Saved myself about £80 over the course of the night. Very strange seeing other people rat assed

Alright mate.....I will be posting some more workout details up soon. The cardio is pretty non existent at the moment I am afraid (apart from the odd cycle to the gym).

New batch of creatine came on the weekend so the workout intensity will be increasing as of tomorrow!
