OK, been trying to bulk but since abs have started to cloud i havent really liked it to be honest, for years i was fat/chubby and only recently found i had a rather nice 6 pack, i might only be 70 odd kilos at 6' but i have a reasonable amount of muscle on me and im pretty defined and vascular. i think i might just try and get my definition and vascularity back and just try a slow bulk technique, as im only 17 i have plenty of time to commit to diets and regimes when im older, for now i think ill just lift weights 3x per week eat good healthy food and see where it goes,

mmm, i think right now i might settle for the pretty six pack, im not psycologically or physically ready to commit to bulking, for now i just want to be able to enjoy taking my shirt of in public, i havent been able to do that all my life.

And to be honest i struggle with maintaining a diet and a routine, so im gonna focus on doing my training 3 times a week every week and just eat healthy foods, might not be the way youd do it but i think it will work for me

OK, enoughs enough, anytime i get any momentum going with my training something happens, this time it was girl troubles, yada yada move on. Starting Monday I will be going to the gym 3 times per week monday wed fri, until i should consciously choose to change routine, i will go to the sunbed 3 times per week until i can reduce the amount of time i visit. i will eat big, i will eat clean. i will perform a successful slow bulk where i put on 5 kg of muscle in the next 12 months. i will continue to excel at my workplace and i will avoid any and all distractions using a 10 foot pole. That is all, training will be rigorously documented from here on out. anything less is totally unacceptable.

Ok, woke up nice and early, stuff got complicated and i didnt get a chance to go to the gym, unacceptable, gotto wake up early tommorow to go now. Reason why is that i had to drive all the way across town to put in my application to rent a house, then find out theyve moved back to the other side of town, now i start work in an hour and i simply dont have time... pretty pissed but in the words of TT, Hey Ho.

Hey jaby, keep at it.

Maybe I can offer a different perspective on your thoughts which is to take the long view.

Speaking personally, I currently look like **** but rather than worrying about getting down to a low bodyfat so i can show off the skanks on a Friday night I am only trying to get stronger. My thoughts are that in 2-3 years time I will be big and strong enough to hold enough muscle that I can hold a lean physique even when bulked up.

That's my current perspective, take or leave this advise as you wish.

Ever since i decided to start bulking ive been plagued by feelings of being "fat" which i most certainly am not, yet i have been terrified of putting on fat while adding muscle. todays the first time ive overcome this fear, but i have also decided to stick well clear of scales atleast for now, as i always either feel fat or tiny when weighing myself... with the 2 extremes being just 5-6 difference. from now on i will judge my progress through the mirror, i feel asif ive gotten bigger and no matter what the scales tell me, i have.

I know exactly where you're coming from with stopping bulking mate, i was overweight through most of high school i lost a lot of weight and i have started bulking now, i had the same feelings as you when i started 'i'm going to look fat', but the way i look at it is that you don't have to get fat on a bulk, if everything is controlled you can prevent it.

If you do see yourself getting fatter or fealing fat adjust the diet accordingly over a couple of months you will find out what will work for you, you may well loose the six pack for a few months as i have but you look bigger whilst bulking and, as i have found, i get more complements now than i did when i was small and 'thin'.

Also think about the long run, if you get bigger by bulking for a few months this year, think of how you will look when you cut after the bulk next year.

Good Luck.
