Cheers Welshy, think I'm pretty much decided - in fact I've even almost finished filling in my GTTR application form to get on a teaching course and have applied for an intense French extension course this summer so I can teach that too. No training yet this week due to poorly car. Diet been fine but today and tomorrow may go out of the window a bit as I have a business dinner thing tonight and a trade show tomorrow.

I know you are going through a bit of a bad patch and have lost some motivation but I hope you're not going to let the training slide completely. You can do a pretty effective home workout in 30min just to keep things tic king over

ORIGINAL: jedi tic king over Boom boom. Yeah, I've had a few days of feeling sorry for myself but I need to get back to it - even if it's just doing stuff using my bodyweight or any heavy household objects I can find. If my car dies totally I'll not be able to get to the gym except maybe if I get the bus at the weekend, and it'll be at least a month before I get home, so I don't want to waste all my hard work doing nowt and have to dramatically drop my weights when I start back properly. There's a council gym across the road at home I'll be able to use a few times too, but it's £8 a pop so won't be able to go often as my shopping money is going to be eaten into enough as it is with b@starding bus fares. Have managed to get bus fares down to £7 a day so far if I buy a saver ticket thing, but unfortunately that limits the bus services I can get so I'll be stuck with a journey home over 2 hours. Diet might have to be rejigged slightly to allow for skintness over the next month too: won't be able to afford as much chicken/salmon etc as I currently buy as obviously £35 a week is a big cut from my budget. Will try to keep as much protetin in me as possible and regular meals. Have some pheasant and rabbit in the freezer which I can use up too instead of chicken since it's lean, that'll save me a few quid. Have run out of glutamine but that'll just have to wait for the moment.

My car is going to be ok!!!!!!!! My lovely wonderful next-door neighbour has just phoned to tell me he's got the emissions down enough to pass, so it'll just be a case of forking out the £280 I was expecting for all the other jobs!!! I'll still be skint and I'm still buggering off, but that's a looooad off my mind as at least I'll e able to get to work and the gym and stuff. Woohoooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oooh that's a weight off.....

ORIGINAL: flick161 Oi! Practice what you preach you!!! What show are you doing? Sorry mum. After a few days of being down-in-the-dumps and wondering why I'm bothering I am now back in a "good" place mentally. Sticking to diet apart from my choccy binge at the weekend, and now I know I won't have to miss out on training I feel a million times better. I'm not sure what to do show-wise. I'm deffo out of the NABBA one now after all my pi$$ing about, so I have to decide whether to still go for the UKBFF Kent counties show even if I'm moving home or not. There's not really anything else northern I can do so it looks like the best bet and I've still got 20 weeks to diet for it. Plus once I've moved home I won't have to fret about the cost of one-piece costumes etc after buying all my frigging stuff for NABBA! I might do Miss Wigan in October for a giggle too so all my friends who planned to come to NABBA can come and laugh at me.

Oooh Truds you little beauty, cheers hon!! The UKBFF North-East looks like a blinder - plenty of time to get ready for it, and a lot nearer than Kent! Will look into the NABBA UK one as I'm already a member and would like to do a show with compulsories and a routine and stuff rather than just quarter turns. See, I'm still here - things keep getting thrown in my way but I'll manage to compete somewhere this year if it kills me!!!

Great stuff about the car. There is a list of comps in the comp section under comp calender if you want to see what other shows are on during the year. Poor Hazel has gathered all that info, the least I can do is advice peeps to look at it

You're in a lot better shape than some of the girls I saw compete at the UKBFF Show on Sunday (I promise you), seriously, stop putting it off. This is me getting mad now because otherwise it's always gonna be tomorrow, and the day after and the day after that. You have a great physique, get up on stage, get that first show out of the way because only then will you truly be able to assess how much work you might have to do to get on stage looking your "bestest bestest"!!!!

DEFINITELY.... I was there! First place was not in doubt, second was deceptive pics to show, third I can't discuss cos she's a mate of mine, Lollie is also in the line up pics... But comparing your condition with theirs, you're so nearly there, you really don't need to wait and keep on going though to say September. Besides dieting that long is not effective IMO. I'm away this weekend but going to SENI Show at ExCel the weekend after, why don't you come too and we can look at you that weekend and get you posing on film so you can see EXACTLY how you look... I wouldn't even spend the time if I didn't think you had potential girl believe me... Mainly because I ain't got time!

I know I don't need to put it off longer, I knooow!!! With the UKBFF one, I was just thinking it's a bit daft to traipse all the way to Kent for a show when Leeds is only an hour away from home (as I'll be back oop north by then!). And I've emailed NABBA to ask about the UK one as I'd like to do that purely so I'm still doing a show with a routine and stuff. I know I sound like I'm just putting it off, then putting it off again and so on, but I do fully intend to do a show this year - it's just a case of fitting it in to my messy life! Plus despite other people saying I'll easily be ready this year, E & C always umm and aah about it and put doubt in my mind and make me think that I'd get on stage looking like a blob. It was only about 2 weeks ago that they were saying I might be better waiting a year rather than try and compete this year looking sh!t. Anyway I'm deffo doing it no matter what anyone says to me and after a few messed up days I'm back on track now and getting back in the gym tonight now my car is better! Diet was a bit poo on Wednesday and Thursday as I had to go out for a work meal on Wednesday night (would've been fine at a normal restaurant but went to an Indian and boss ordered set meal thing for 4 so I didn't even have any choice of what to eat, @rsehole) and I was at a trade show all day yesterday and wasn't allowed to eat. Bran flakes at hotel for brekkie and boss provided me with cr@ppy sarnie for lunch. Lots of coffee and no water available. Shocking. Was practically sick by the time I got home after 7pm due to lack of food and water and could quite happily have shoved my salmon into my gob raw.

Should be able to make the SENI show, just let me work out how much money I'd need for train/ticket etc and get back to you in a few days: paying out a few hundred quid for my car will put me on an even tighter budget than usual for the rest of this month!!
